Really like what Moore is doing over in Australia. How does that league compare to the various levels of minor league baseball here? What level would be its equivalent?
Surprised the Dodgers didn't make your list as they have 7 top 100 prospects on MLB Pipeline's list, including infield and pitching prospects that would make sense for the Brewers. I think the Brewers and Dodgers match up really well on a Burnes and/or Adames trade.
I guess I'm just not a big Brosseau guy, which probably has more to do with his horrid defense than anything. Just please keep him away from 3B at all costs.
As of today, it'll either be Toro or Turang. I guess it could be Brosseau too but that's just gross to think about. I imagine Urias is penciled in at 3B.
Is it just market size that makes the Twins able to spend more than Milwaukee? Same geographic region obviously but I'm assuming the Twins make more from TV deals, etc. It's frustrating as a Brewers fan to see the Twins with a $150m payroll.
Creative but there's no way Pittsburgh would trade for Burnes, knowing he'd be gone in a couple of years and not within their competitive window (which is almost never, btw). I guess they could turn around and trade him in a year but doesn't seem to make much sense for them.
Agreed. I think he'll have a number of teams after him. He's a hard dude to figure out but you'd think he'd want to go to a place that's under the radar where the media won't be hounding him everyday...a place like Milwaukee if the Brewers would even be interested.
Just a reminder that the Dodgers have until Friday to decide whether to retain Bauer or release him. The Dodgers will be on the hook for about $22 million no matter what they decide. I didn't realize this but if the Dodgers release him, Bauer can only sign with another team for the league minimum.
Black and Zamora are in the same boat - they've shown flashes but can't seem to stay healthy. Mitchell was the same way coming up through minors and is now with the big club so obviously there's hope.
What if the Brewers hadn't traded Hader during the season last year? How do you think this offseason would have gone? Do you think some combination of Burnes, Adames, and Woodruff would have been traded? Just kinda feels like Mark A was more reluctant to be any kind of a big seller this offseason based on the reaction from the Hader trade. I think Hader along with at least one of the big three would have almost certainly been traded.
This guy does have almost 15,000 followers on Twitter so it’s possible he’s not just making stuff up but still hard to believe. When is Tatis eligible to return?
He is on record as saying he loves Milwaukee in the summertime so you never know. I could see mutual interest on a one year deal. A rotation where Freddy Peralta is your #4 starter would really be something.
