This has been one of the more painful seasons that I can remember. 2014 was brutal too but this year has been one giant kick to the nuts after another.
The Marlins have some pretty good pitchers but their offense appears to be pretty dreadful. We’ll probably see some low scoring games throughout this series.
How can you not be super excited about Wiemer’s stint in Nashville? He’s really done it all - hit for power, walked more, cut down on the strikeouts, and played great defense as usual.
You could have Frelick and Mitchell start along with Renfroe and then have Ruiz be the 4th outfielder. Trade Taylor in the offseason and have Wiemer start the year in Nashville.
Yelich is back to being a lazy groundout to the right side machine. He has provided next to nothing here in September. No power. Just really depressing.

That probably does it for this year and what’s worse is we’ll probably have to watch the Cardinals celebrate a division clincher in Milwaukee. That’ll be a real kick to the nether regions.
I think the Rangers could be one of those teams this offseason who will be desperate to go for it and they have a pretty good system. Seems like a good match between the two teams. That being said, I would love to get my hands on some of Baltimore’s top prospects. Or the Dodgers.
