  1. Can't tell if this is genuine or sarcasm, lol. Did you get any time in at 3B in practice? I dont' remember that at all. Couple other options to ponder: Robin to P, Fever to 3B .... and .... Jamie to P, Fever to 3B, nullbyte to 2B. I'm not real anxious to take the ball out of Fever's hand 'cos he pitched great last week, I just can't remember anyone other than him and razzzersharp logging any decent time at 3B in our later practices.
  2. I see your guys' point about Ned "sticking up" for a player and "firing up" the team, but I just think he probably blew the situation out of proportion to invent a "fire up" situation. It just didn't feel right. I'd rather have him on the bench tonight. Again, I'll be real interested to hear Ned's comments. Maybe it was 100% warranted.
  3. Boy. Your team's been getting beat up and needs your leadership, you got a young kid on the mound who you need to keep an eye on, and you get yourself ejected in the first inning ... between half innings ... about something as meaningless as the home plate ump's reaction to how Brady leaned into a pitch? Does that make sense? I'm baffled. I want to hear the post-game reaction from Ned today.
  4. Ugh. A pinch hitter with 1 out and nobody on. I would definitely have let Bush pitch the 5th.
  5. Is is really S.O.P. to worry about tagging up to go to third in that situation? To have two outs with the pitcher up? I just don't get it. The odds of that smash being a double were way better than the odds it would actually matter what base Koskie was on for the next at-bat. You gotta go at half-way there, right??? Failing to score there could really come back to bite us. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  6. Nice hit, Hall! 5-3 Brewers! I love station-to-station baseball!!!
  7. FYI, not sure if this was mentioned, but the Brewers are a homer away from hitting for the cycle in the inning. And it's the Menard's "Big Inning". Wow. It might actually be possible to win this contest!
  8. Sorry about being MIA, guys. I was in the Dells all weekend.
  9. Here's what I remember... Top 8th * Ground out, short to first * "Single" on pseudo-chopper up the middle-ish, mishandled by short (I suck) * Grounder to third, throw wide of second. Runner scores, batter thrown out trying to score. Bases are clear, two outs. * Batter reaches first on shortstop losing ball in the clouds 'cos it was a million miles in the air (or, I suck again) *Final out recorded (if you say "Pop out, third base", I'll take your word for it) I removed your "*Batter reaches on error??????" line. I don't remember this occurring. When that pop-up finally came down (5 feet behind me http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif ), all I remember was the batter still being less than half-way to first 'cos he didn't run it out. Now, if there had been a runner on somewhere, since there was two outs, it's definitely possible that he left on contact and scored while that flippin ball was still in the air, and some of us just missed it.
  10. Up until gametime I'll be visiting family and unable to check internet. If the game gets cancelled, would someone mind calling my cell at 414.555.5555 to let me know? Leave a message if I don't pick up. I'd really appreciate it. (Also, if someone calls me, could you please post here that I've been notified so that everyone else doesn't have to waste their time calling me?) Barring that, see y'all tonight. Edit: Didn't want phone number posted anymore.
  11. Did the attendance get reported in this thread? If so, I missed it. Anyone? They saw a(nother) great game.
  12. Ah, thanks. Guess that's pretty elementary, but it slipped my mind.
  13. Okay, so they bring in a righty PH to face Shouse ... isn't this when Yost is supposed to come back out and bring Wise in?
  14. Man, 4 games on the active roster for Shouse, thrown into the game for every single one. Overuse?
  15. HUGE series for Jenkins! Come on bullpen, go smoothly tonight, please.
  16. I missed this too. (???) Kenny, good to see we'll have you manning first!!
  17. His last week's worth of work, FWIW: Tuesday 23 Monday 0 (off) Sunday 14 Saturday 13 Friday 3 Thursday 0 Wednesday 0
  18. Really? But that tieing run was TBow's run.
  19. I'm still mad at Ned and think it was definitely the wrong choice. That said, a couple of points.... What has Turnbow's pitch count been lately and what was it tonight? Maybe Yost was fearing over-exhausting Turnbow and worried that he had hit a wall? You gotta blame some of it on Turnbow. If you don't want to get yanked, you gotta slam the door. Letting three hitters reach base is not how a closer should operate. But I'll close by again saying I think Yost was dead wrong. Didn't like the call then and don't like it now.
  20. Ha, if that ball goes out, he's 3 for 4 with 5 RBIs (and a BB) No complaints about the simple double to the wall, though. Thata boy Jenkins!!
  21. Is Hart in the dugout tonight? How about putting him in to pinch run for Cirillo? Can't do it since he's the last non-Catcher bench-guy left? Would you do it otherwise?
  22. /me punches wall. That was unreal. Pull Turnbow? When he only needs one more out? And still has a two run lead???? "boob" was the right word for Yost there. He sees a lefty coming up and a lightbulb goes off, "I got a guy in the pen who'll make this an automatic out! I don't care the situation!!" Jeepers gall darn friggin holy mother ***** junk burgle flickle great googly moogly....
  23. Going on record: I do no like this move of pulling Turnbow for Shouse. There's two outs, Shouse is coming in cold with two runners on ... just don't like it.
  24. Ouch!! Oops. I can't imagine him not being in there in the 9th when up by 3 or less.
  25. 1-2-3 inning for Jorge De La Whoasolvdd. Man, when he's on ... he's ON.
