  1. Well isn't this magical. Just let Soup wear this one, and leave him behind when they skip town.
  2. http://images.yuku.com/image/jpeg/cfc35d034b679f6ee93421a3f8f84b8ec86f0d8.jpg But seriously... I guess it depends on how often you'll use it. I've always used some pretty cheap boards (probably $40 or less) since I don't throw darts that often in my basement. I'd hate to sink over $100 in something that I would hardly use, but that's just my preference/opinion.
  3. Supparra, I presume. Supparra in name, sub-par in performance.
  4. A couple of pics I took at the Rattlers' game to illustrate the sweet 1982 Brewers inspired jerseys, complete with "Wisconsin" script across the front: http://images.yuku.com/image/jpeg/a22156469fec25f2557bdc525bfcd3147437f2c.jpg Starting Pitcher Damon Krestalude http://images.yuku.com/image/jpeg/1af25e046e989edd2fdf4fd0c90a22d7ed63d1b.jpg Jake Odorizzi, who was dominant. Struck out 3 of the first 4 batters he faced if memory serves.
  5. Hurley was in a mental institution long before he ever got to the island in the first place. The "numbers" which made him cursed after using them to win the lottery eventually got him institutionalized (I think he tried to kill himself after something collapsed while he was on it?). Remember his imaginary friend "Dave" and his brief love interest Libby were shown in flashbacks to his days in the mental hospital. I think they already explained how he got there a few seasons ago.
  6. Might have been a double-play with Holliday running. Can't believe that was a ball.
  7. Anybody else wondering how Walt plays into all of this? I don't think he's even appeared since the Jeremy Bentham episode where Locke is murdered.
  8. Chris Kanyon, who openly announced his homosexuality in 2004, has apparently committed suicide. I haven't watched wrestling in the ten years since high school, but he was one of my favorites when he was in WCW. I think he was in a group called the "Jersey Triad" with Bam-Bam Bigelow and Diamond Dallas Page that was pretty entertaining. "Who better than Kanyon!"
  9. Not to take this too far off-topic, but the Packers actually pay into the revenue sharing system. They're pretty financially sound and have built up a rather large war chest to help weather the storm if need be. If the salary cap goes away for good, then they may be in trouble long-term. The disadvantage they have is lacking a deep-pocket owner to pay a top free agent a boat load of cash up front.
  10. Sounds like Coach K. will be made an offer he can't refuse by the new Russian owner of the Nets. If he gets his 4th title tonight, how much more of a legend can you be? Might as well make an enormous cash grab.
  11. Checkout went swimmingly for me. Problem I'm having is that my estimated download time is 24 hours.
  12. Are they still handing out six-figure signing bonuses for graduates?
  13. Don Walker had a blog post yesterday about SeatGeek.com. I love using fansnap.com (which someone here introduced to us late last season) for Brewer and Packer games, and this site is nearly identical with a couple of noteworthy improvements. The main improvements are the site recommends if you should wait to buy, or buy now based on ticket sale trends for each game and what percent of face value you would be paying for those seats. I used the site to pick up a couple of tickets 12 rows from the field next the Brewers dugout for a game against the Pirates for 34% of face value ($17 for $50 seats). What other sites have people used? Any to stay away from?
  14. I didn't realize you could be fired for putting a resume on the internet. I worked in retail as a manager and told my DM straight-up that I was going back to school to add an accounting degree. I obviously wasn't going to stick around after I graduated. So theoretically he could have canned me? Not cool, dude.
  15. Yeah, 30 Rock has taken a nosedive for me as well. As Game05 said, the only thing that really keeps me interested is whatever plot Alec Baldwin is involved with. Less of Liz/Tracy/Jenna and more of the "writers" would be a plus as well. Kenneth is hit or miss for me. No story archs really carry over through an entire season, save for Donaghy's desire to be chairman of GE (Will Arnett was great as his adversary), but GE selling NBC/Universal to Comcast kind of threw a wrench in that. They do a good job with cameo's - James Franco, Conan O'Brien, Brian Williams, Betty White, etc. But still nothing as "cringeworthy" as The Office has been as of late.
  16. Promotional materials from the NRA and the Womyn's Music Festival? You better check your foundation. A house divided against itself cannot stand.
  17. "Date Mike" was probably the least funny thing I have seen in a long time. IMO, The Office is easily the fourth best show of NBC's comedies on Thursday night.
  18. Ron Swanson and his infatuation with breakfast foods never tires. "Are we eating soon? I only ate one breakfast."
  19. Very good episode with lots of questions answered. It appears that Jacob's purpose is to keep the Man in Black literally bottled up on the island to keep all hell from breaking loose. And Richard is his prophet. I'm getting a Book of Job vibe from the series now, where it seems that Jacob (God) and the Man in Black (The Adversary) have opposing views on the inherent goodness of man. Jacob believes in free will and won't intervene when good people are suffering, while the Man in Black believes that man is selfish and will renounce the higher power when things go sour.
  20. Yes, that was my first inclination as well...
  21. Maybe if he sees this: http://brainwagon.org/images/jesus_toast.jpg
  22. I've never seen an episode of "24."
  23. Got done with work early today, so I ended up watching an episode of "Are you Smarter than a 5th Grader" where the contestant was a 7th grade History teacher. The final question was, "Who was the President of the U.S. when the 50th state was admitted to the Union?" A difficult question for sure, but one should be able to give it an educated guess. I knew the last states were admitted in the 50's, so I guessed Eisenhower. The contestant begins to think aloud, "Well, it would have to be in the late 1800's...". I let out an audible gasp. But she continued, "So I'm going to guess... John Adams." I couldn't believe my ears. She couldn't narrow her guess down the right century, than picked an answer from the opposite end of that spectrum. John Adams, the SECOND President of the United States of America was your guess? You are a 7th grade History teacher! I don't mean this to offend the many wonderful teachers here at brewerfan in any way, it was just unbelievable to watch.
  24. I don't know if he was in on it and it was supposed to be part of the humor, but Clooney looked even more serious and irritated than usual during the opening "roast" by Martin and Baldwin.
