  1. And the thing is, the beauty of baseball is the simplicity of the call. There's not 10 bodies around the ball like football, you have the ball, and you have the line, or the pole, or a player's glove. Most of the time it's going to be very easy to tell what the correct call is.
  2. I'm mildly surprised, and very pleased. Now they need to add plays at the plate.
  3. Hey, then we could have our own Dice-K.
  4. Actually, in the latest article Adam says that Money is the frontrunner right now.
  5. Is the basis of your argument that Melvin should be fired because he hasn't fired Yost yet?
  6. Have you laid out those concerns to him like you did here?
  7. I didn't read the article yet, but I saw "hacker" in a headline on ESPN..
  8. You don't pay any rental charges beyond your regular per unit charge. They do have an engineer come to your house and scope things out, so consumption/need may be part of that spec process.
  9. FTJ, that's not my understanding. It sounds to me like you sign a contract for 1/5/25 years and lock in the current rate that you pay for your electricity on a per kwh (or whatever unit) basis. So you don't have to use X amount each year, they do meter reading just like a normal utility company. The savings on the consumer end is from cost certainty and protection from assumed rate increases. In fact, they state flat out that their savings calculator assumes a 2.1% rate increase every year, and if that isn't true, your savings will be different or you could see a negative benefit compared with if you'd stuck with the utility company.
  10. I came across this site on Wired a while back and am really tempted to sign up, but the fact that it's a brand new start up doesn't exactly make you confident. Anyone else heard about this or checked into it at all?
  11. I think he meant Gwynn almost went to *Texas* for Gagne, not Boston. It was a rumor at the time.
  12. There's no way Jenkins gets a 3 year deal from us. That would be ludicrous. I don't even really buy that we're the frontrunner on him, if we were we'd just pick up his option, because presumably he will get a couple years from someone else.
  13. Yeah, I don't think this is about Leyva at all, just that they wanted to promote Kremblas.
  14. To be technically correct, no company owns a park. They just paid to get their name stuck on it.
  15. Can you include a small summary or a snippet of the article or something so that people don't have to go read the article to know what it's basically about?
  16. 1, one question mark is plenty, and 2, this can go in the IGT.
  17. Does anyone else think Helton's face just doesn't fit with the huge goatee he has?
  18. LF: Gross/LaPorta Clancy, I don't know how you can say that with a straight face.
  19. Pfft. Who cares about North Carolina, I want playoffs!!
  20. I do know that Lucroy jumped at the chance to go to Hawaii this past Monday. Who wouldn't! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  21. On company property, with company property. That's double jeopardy, so we're fine. I don't think you understand how jeopardy works. Oh, I'm sorry, "what is, we're fine".
  22. That pretty much sums up my thoughts, although I can't place too much blame on Hall because I don't think our offense has really been a problem. Yes, more is always better, but there are plenty of greater deficiencies. I also like the defense comment, it's been pretty bad.
  23. i don't care if i'm the only one to realize its not the managers fault for last night. No, you're the only one to THINK it's not the manager's fault, just like everyone else THINKS that it was a problem. You're not the sole owner of a correct perception of reality here. Not sure if they changed the rules so that you can activate a guy off the DL in the middle of a game, but that is the only way you would get Parra in the game last night. Actually, Parra was activated on 9/21.
