  1. Stay with me here, but what if we rooted for players to succeed rather than just declaring games over and the cause hopeless?
  2. Let's not have a repeat of yesterday.
  3. Unrelated to today: .993 OPS vs LHP this year.
  4. Not totally surprised, but Houser's only at 67 pitches, definitely a quick hook. Let's not have Peguero give up home runs again in the 7th...
  5. But I'm sure it won't stop you from future declarations.
  6. Oh look, we're down by 1 with more than half the game to go.
  7. While the results aren't there, if you look at the lineup, it's not really that easy as saying they're terrible. Yelich, Contreras, and Frelick need no comment. Turang has been really solid since coming back up. Monasterio continues to do just fine. Taylor is on fire the last couple weeks, and ~.800 OPS since July
  8. Houser regressing. Now only on pace for a 97 pitch CGSO, 15 balls.
  9. The answer to every question is not Hiura. Turang, Taylor, and Perkins could be playing anyway in a theoretical world in which Hiura is DH.
  10. 6 up, 6 down, 1 ball so far. On pace for a 72 pitch CGSO.
  11. Although Houser probably is too. Colorado's bottom half is pretty putrid.
  12. I don't really get Canha 3. It's not even for the sake of LH/RH alternating. I'd rather see Frelick 3 and Monasterio 4.
  13. Watch Mis pitch in your free game of the day...
  14. This is redundant with the other thread.
  15. His new swing is a little reminiscent of Bellinger, where it's very straight up and down until the swing (although Bellinger's swing is way more violent).
  16. Angelos gonna Angelos.
  17. I'm just saying given Frelick's stellar play in RF so far and the fact that he played CF at Nashville, it's seems very unlikely to me that the answer is they don't trust him to play CF.
