    Not attempting to defend Braun by any means, but did Gibby ever take a cortisone shot or medical injection to be able to play? Technically, wouldn't that be a "performance enhancer"?

    Based on a collection of mediocre players being mediocre, sub-mediocre, awful or hurt, DM's hands were tied. Unless stories come out that good deals were on the table and turned down. Then DM's job needs to be ended.

    Do they have decent third base prospects? Either that or whatever pitching you can get back. At this point, anything is good.

    July 21st, KRod, Axford, Weeks, A-Ram, Yo and Yuni B. to the Dodgers for 5 top prospects, a couple of lower tier prospects. I know, totally far fetched, but I took Aoki, Lohse, Gonzalez and Badenhop off of the list, but that's all the guys I want to see gone.

    Even though it's unlikely that Ramirez will net much, in terms of prospects the Red Sox have more to offer than the Yankees. Yes, but it frees up money for next year. If Ramirez, KRod, Ax, Aoki, Yo and Lohse are gone, that would be huge!!

    How do we really know what's what? Just like with his appealed suspension, we don't know any details so how can we make definitive statements about anything? That's the problem in this whole crazy saga. We shouldn't know anything until the decision is final. But because certain MLB folks want possible leverage, public perception, whatever the case, stuff is being leaked.

    The Players Association signed off on the deal. If there is evidence that you purchased banned substances, or distributed banned substances, or were in possession of banned substances, that's in violation and you're subject to penalty. OK....evidence. Is there evidence, outside of Bosch, to prove that Braun did anything? Right now, all we know is his name was on a list. And the word of Bosch is either for or against him. But, that's it. In a court of law, you have to have something more than circumstantial evidence. I realize, it's not the court of law, and the PA signed off on the deal. But, two and two don't add up here.

    What I don't get is doesn't the player have to FAIL a drug test to be suspended? I mean, MLB couldn't suspend Pete Rose for life from baseball, unless it was PROVEN he gambled against his own team, right? Just hanging around with unsavory characters, while bad judgement, is not an offense. Infuriating!

    In a word, the answer to the question is no. In two words, the answer to the question is absolutely not. Hart isn't worth the money, when there are replacement players coming up, and first base is one of the easier positions to find a player. Thanks for your help Corey, good luck in the future.

    Based on your last couple of posts just wanted to let you know the Bucks didn't actually get a player in return, Butler is going to the Suns. Wow. That's even worse. I follow the Spurs much more closely, but since I grew up as a Bucks fan, I still somewhat follow. Obviously not close enough.

    Actually, I don't know why I thought Caron was a shooter. 15 ppg average. Just a guy. But, hey, he's from Wisconsin!! Well done Bucks.
