  1. Hart, Fielder and Braun for Lincecum, Posey, Bumgarner, Sanchez and Sandoval.
  2. Oh I did forget to mention, a parade has been scheduled here for the great decision by RJ. It sure helps to have some extra room under the cap for the Spurs. Not that they'd get LBJ, but I'd love to see them shoot for Paul Pierce. A lineup of Parker, Pierce, Manu, Blair and Duncan is pretty tough!
  3. Jefferson was awful here in SA last season. Just a guy. Nothing special at all. Him opting out of his deal is crazy on his part if he's looking for money. I wouldn't give him more than $5 million per year. That's a max of what he's worth in my estimation.
  4. Let me rephrase. I strongly dislike all annoyingly catchy pop songs. Bieber, Train, anyone.
  5. That song is annoyingly catchy. I dislike Train for their annoyingly catchy songs.
  6. The problem is, I think you're supposed to show emotion in what you're doing, not against your own teammate. As much as I think Macha should be replaced, I'm very glad Brenly isn't the manager.
  7. What makes that clip beautiful is it starts with showing Gorzelanny warming up in the pen, then cuts to Z going Z, then strike one to the next batter, then back to Z, then strike two. Back to Z, then fouled off, then back to Z and Lee, then an awful swing for strike three. It's beautiful!!! So it was either that Lee didn't lead Z to the bag, Lee said something about Z's mom, or Z is crazy......My vote is #3.
  8. The reason I made the suggestion I did was because if I'm the Nats, that's where I start. As I've said previously, Strasburg seems to be the real deal, just a few starts in, and Washington is building something good. If they want to continue building, they don't trade Strasburg for a whole lot. At a minimum 2 out of Fielder, Braun or Yo.
  9. When the manager lets them play, it helps. Last year, I thought that Gamel probably would have helped too, had he played. This year, the guys are playing and performing!
  10. Mark A........fire Macha and make a play for Bobby V.....heck, Fredi wouldn't be a bad candidate either!
  11. I think that trade will involve the Spurs. The rumors here are it will either be George Hill or Tony Parker plus their pick for a top 10 pick. I'm not sure how much I like the thought of it, but if I had to pick one, I'd pick Hill to trade. He's a good player, but I see Parker as an elite player. Thursday definitely will be interesting.
  12. No doubt about it. The Washington Wizards.....err......Nationals are actually heading away from mediocrity, past decent and on the road to good. Strasburg is a pitcher who doesn't come along to often. He's a guy who so far, has lived up to the hype. Why would the Nats dump him?
  13. I didn't particularly see any reason to add him in the first place. If he brings back depth, great.
  14. I would want Hart and Lee part of a 3 way deal, where Hart goes to Seattle, Lee goes to some other team who gives up a few prospects to Milwaukee. That was how I was reading it. Not wanting to give up Gamel just yet, but Hart can go!
  15. Sounds good to me! When can this be done?
  16. From what I've heard they aren't having a conference championship which is what Texas and Oklahoma wanted.
  17. Because if you do, you will be struck down with a deadly disease!
  18. I would throw the Big 12ish in as losers too. The conference is weakened in losing Nebraska and Missouri. And do they stay with 10, or invite 2 more? I've heard a few people talk about inviting Arkansas and TCU or Houston. I doubt it will happen. And who is to say this doesn't come up again in another 2 or 3 years? The conference is hanging by a very thin thread, in my estimation.
  19. Chris Berman would make all the girls wearing leather pants pretty scared in Milwaukee, so I'm gonna say no.
  20. I don't know. The regents meet tomorrow and they have a press conference scheduled for tomorrow afternoon.
  21. I don't think there's a rule or a law regarding Texas Tech......Texas and Texas A&M have had a rivalry that has gone on forever, and the two teams have discussed moving together to another conference. It seems like the package deal is Oklahoma and Oklahoma St (with their rivalry) and Texas and Texas A&M (with their rivalry), however, A&M seems to really want to go to the SEC.....whether they're invited or not may be up for discussion.
  22. Alexander had athleticism......which you do need to be successful in the NBA. The comparison I have is a decent white guy who starts getting hyped up, and may or may not be that great.
