  1. I really am going back and forth on whether or not to watch this game. Living in Texas, I don't get to watch the Brewers much, and this year, it's been helpful to live vicariously through the rest of you. But tonight, I have an opportunity to watch them. I think I will and I know I've got hockey to fall back on if it gets to be 17-0. Cards, that is. If it's 17-0 Brewers, I'm still watching, because there's a chance the Cards could come back.
  2. There's lot of choices, just a matter of DM and Mark A. and company CHOOSING to make the right choices.
  3. Parra vs. Suppan.....a battle royale for a roster spot. Winner stays, loser.....GOES HOME!!!! :-)
  4. Yeah, but now with Coffey possibly being on the DL, pitching is going to be needed. And we all know that Soup can pitch.....not well, but he can pitch.
  5. Grrrrrrrrrrrrreat. From top to bottom, the injury bug has hit the Brewers and their farm system. Hopefully it's nothing serious and a quick return for Coffey.
  6. When Corey lays off the low, outside junk, he's really good! To me, the whole goal is for everyone on the team to play to their potential, and hopefully, that should lead to wins!
  7. This whole "pow-wow" thing is just silly. You can meet and discuss and meet and discuss, but the simple fact remains, this team just isn't executing. They took Soup out of the rotation, because he wasn't performing, yet continue to trot him out there, even though he still isn't performing. I'm very thankful that I'm not actually watching this team up close, just frustrated from a distance. And if I'm frustrated from a distance, I can believe what it would be for those of you experiencing it first-hand.
  8. Just saw on ESPN.com that John Wooden died. 99 years old. One of the best college basketball coaches and teachers of the game. Rest in peace!
  9. That's all good and well, but the problem is not that you can score 13 runs, it's that you allow the other team to score 14.
  10. Is Josh, his agent, still posting on here? It would be very interesting to get a bit of the insight into what Brent is going to do now.....play college FB?
  11. Correct.....it's Gamel's fault! :-) But seriously, good luck to Adam, and hopefully he gets the call to Oakland soon.
  12. Royals down, Orioles down.......do we need one more to go before Macha gets the can? Or can he please be next?
  13. I think we've finally hit "throw crap against the wall and see what happens"mode. Heck, maybe Soup might get put back in the rotation and see what he can do! This is abysmal to watch. Thankfully I'm watching from afar......very afar!
  14. Sshhhhhh!!! It's a secret! The real truth is Gord is just the puppet master and HE has all the control.....but we don't want that to get out!
  15. Amazing. I finally saw it on the Today show this morning, and Joyce actually got together with Galarraga and apologized. He had a radio interview where he said that he takes his job seriously and no one feels worse than he does. I take him at his word. I think he really blew it, and he knows it. It's nice to see that he apologized!
  16. Then I will be rooting for Mark to throw a no-no, just to make it that much more difficult to send him back to Huntsville!
  17. I doubt Fielder gets traded, but I'd at least listen to offers. If someone blows you away, you take it. If not, you can hang on to him and see what's out there in the winter.
  18. I think come the trading deadline, anyone not named Escobar, Braun, Lucroy, Gomez, Gallardo, Axford and Braddock on the MLB roster is open and available for trade.
  19. 4-23 Tie-breaker: 2+0+4= 6 That's about as optimistic as I can get right now.
  20. Thank you! That's what I was trying to say, and I guess I just couldn't phrase it as well as this. Part of it is business, but part of it is how you treat people. It seems a little surprising that they think enough of Stern to call him up to fill a need, but yet, when they need space, he's not good enough. I don't know Adam Stern, but if it was me in his shoes, I wouldn't have a whole lot of positives to say about Milwaukee because of this situation!
  21. I have a hard time believing that will make everything better.
  22. The real question is, with DM and Macha still being in charge, will next year be any better than this year?
  23. Edmonds is 40, many want Gerut DFA'd because of his non-production and Inglett is an emergency guy. Obviously the Brewers thought enough of Stern to bring him up, being a mediocre AAA player, just filling out Nashville's roster. All I'm saying is since we've got a guy who is old, a guy who isn't really performing other than hitting for the cycle, you probably want to have some depth!
