  1. 6 scoreless innings so far tonight for Jeffress in his first extended Huntsville action. (3 hits, 4 walks and 4 strikeouts) Errecart has not picked up where he left off. I wonder if his injury is still giving him problems. West Virginia went from 5 games under .500 in the first half - to 20 games above .500 in the second half! (And lost Lucroy in the process)
  2. I say there is at least a 75% chance that Sheets signs with the Rangers. He lives in Dallas. He obviously doesn't like batting very much. He isn't really drawn to the "big stage", as he is pretty laid back. Lastly, the Rangers have made some waves recently about going hard after free agent pitchers. (Both CC and Sheets are top targets)
  3. Harden - typo obviously.
  4. The Cubs have 6 regular players with an OBP above .350. The Brewers have 1 regular player with an OBP above .350. Zambrano, Dempster, and Haren is just as good as Sabathia, Sheets and Parra. Marmol, Wood, Samardzija and Gaudin is better than Torres, Gagne, Mota and Riske. Every way I slice it - the Cubs are just a better team. And that hurts.
  5. I mentioned it. I hate the Tundra Territory - only because it is always empty! They gave away tons of standing room only spots - for 30 seats which only usually have 7 people. I recently bough a Toyota and tried to get them to throw in Tundra Territory seats. I was told you had to enter a drawing to win the seats. Unfortunately most of the people who win them, don't attend the game.
  6. I am really surprised that the excessive marketing doesn't bother more people. I completely understand the need for some/lots of it - but this year certainly seems to have taken it to a new level. For goodness sakes, we have an enormous gas pump in center field!
  7. People do not appreciate Cain enough. I should know - I didn't start appreciating him until earlier this year. Cain has a .377 OBP in Huntsville. Brantley has a .409 OBP. Cain is a better fielder. Cain also has much more power - which would suggest he is more likely to translate his numbers to the MLB level. Brantley has a lot of potential, but don't ignore Cain.
  8. The Brewers play at Miller Park. You can sit in the Gehl Club. The Dew Deck. Maybe get a seat in the Toyota Tundra area. Or get a seat at Fridays. You can always check the home run count with the C-IT-GO gas pump in center field. Maybe you will get lucky and see a ball hit into the Mercedes Benz Fieldhouse. When a US Cellular call to the pen is made - you get to see the latest Chevy car round the warning track. Of course, the Klement's Sausages race for taste in the 6th inning. If you happen to be watching on TV - you will be updated on the Powerball HR totals. You will see McDonald's "at the plate" stats - as well as KFC "who's hot". I can't even listen on the radio anymore. Every inning has a promotion such as "if so and so hits a home run this inning." You already know that you are listening to "baseball brought to you by Kohl's". I think they spend more time pimping products than talking baseball. Sometimes...I miss baseball. I know these are the sacrifices we have to pay in order to have a competitive team in Milwaukee. But at some point - we are going overboard. Does anyone else know any promotions that I am missing?
  9. Unless Prince signs a long term contract - I am not really worried about his weight.
  10. Well played sir. Well played.
  11. So far good pitching across the board for the Brewers organization tonight. Let's hope Manny Parra follows suit.
  12. When Weeks hits a ball hard for an out - Yost says he is unlucky. When Sheets gets hit hard - but for outs, Yost thinks Sheets is talented. It was pretty obvious in the 7th today that Sheets was suddenly getting hit really hard. Why Shouse didn't face Gerut is beyond me. ----- Continued from: viewtopic.php?p=419988#p419988 Original Lead: viewtopic.php?t=10651
  13. OMG!!!! WOOOOOT!!!! EN!!!! OFF!!!!!!! (In honor of the Woot off thread in the "Off-Topic) 30 K in 20 innings. Wooten is a little old - but he is still flat out dealing.
  14. I think Weeks and Hall are both gone next year. (At least they will likely give up their starting spots.) I've always thought Cameron would resign - as the Brewers will not play Hart in CF. Too bad Escobar isn't LH.
  15. I think you need to imagine that Mo Williams was part of the Richard Jefferson trade. As soon as we took on Jefferson's contract, we needed to shed a few dollars. (The problem is New Jersey didn't want Mo Williams) Jefferson > Mo Williams.
  16. Absolutely! (I hate T-Wo Brewers - and that was never the intention) The rest of the story is that someone realized that T-Wo spelt Two. So when the J-Lo joke ended - it just became two. So it really is "Two Brewers", but the Two kinda morphed in an odd way.
  17. Jennifer Lopez = J-Lo Using that format, I become T-Wo. (Hence, the two) Brewers because I love the Brewers. So my name has nothing to do with Bill Hall.
  18. Mo Williams rumored to Cleveland The rumor involved Oklahoma City as well in a three way trade. Likely Delante West also being moved. Potentially Joe Smith and Damon Jones back to the Bucks. (Expiring deals)
  19. Dunn is the most unappreciated player in MLB.
  20. I'd be pretty shocked to see any real prospects called up. Dillard, Stetter, Gwynn and Gibbons seem pretty likely. I highly doubt we would see Escobar, Salome, Jeffress, Green or even Gamel. (Gamel has been struggling in the past 2 months)
  21. Man, the baseball must look like a BB to Gamel right now. He is really struggling. Gillespie has 35(!) doubles. Glad to see Huntsville looking like themselves this evening.
  22. Not that I wanted to overpay Carlos... But he really has been having a great year. I miss that guy.
  23. Gamel's strikeouts are off the charts right now. Good to see Braddock back pitching.
  24. After looking through the Brewer's minor league box scores tonight, I logged on to Brewerfan.net with the intention of posting that "Jeffress is really turning into a big of an enigma." So yeah, I agree with you.
