  1. I dont get as excited as many of you guys do about these minor league stats. I want to see results with my favorite team, the Milwaukee Brewers. I could care less how the Nashville Sounds, Huntsville Stars, the Brevard County Manatees, West Virginia whatevers, or the Helena Brewers do. I just want to see player development. As long as there are few studs developed every year, I don't care. I see that the Brewers do have an issue with starters and I know it is frustrating to see these guys doing so well for Linebrink, but I don't think we gave Sheff away for Bones here. Best possible case would maybe be both these guys become number 3s. More chance as that these guys dont turn into much. Inman is not Roy Oswalt. Garrison is not whoever people compare him to. Congrats to both on their fine stats with San Antonio...but no big deal for big picture. Just my peace.
  2. He has very little use to this team. He is very unreliable and cannot be trusted. I say he will be traded for a PTBNL in June.
  3. I have been a Turnbow hater for two years with many posts and many arguments that are too many to count. Will the guys that said this guy was good just admit you were wrong. I have been wrong. Heck, I though gabe Gross was a solid 4th OF at one time.
  4. You are right. It should be a rant. I am just so sick on how so many give this clown a pass and Weeks gets 6 pages of him being a "bust."
  5. He will either K or hit into double play. The worst #5 hitter in the game.
  6. Trenni is back on your TV http://www.onmilwaukee.com/images/articles/trennireturns_story1.jpg http://www.onmilwaukee.com/images/layout/lightbox/enlarge.png http://www.onmilwaukee.com/images/layout/buttons/cutline_inside.gif Trenni Kusnierek returns to work for FSN Wisconsin.
  7. I know that it was mentioned earlier about Bill being acceptable because others were so bad. I also have the package and agree that there are worse analysts including that Colorado blowhard. However, this does not extricate Bill Schroeder. He has a dry monotone boring voice. He always talks about going the "other way" almost endlessly. And most importantly, he bring nothing to the table at all. Just because he is not annoying does not make him "acceptable." How about that Prince interview he did? What an idiot... I do like Brian Anderson though and I believe he is getting better every day.
  8. You know what...she is actually pretty good. I have been impressed. Now we need to get rid of Schroeder, Coshun, and Davey Nelson and we should be fine.
  9. The dude is a head case. Everyone now has a scouting report on him. It is pretty simple...just sit on straight fastball and let breaking ball go.
  10. Let's let this go until we see either of those two guys succeed in the majors. These guys could just be Henricksen and Eveland.
  11. Most loved-Robin Yount Most disdained-Bud Selig
  12. I have been a critic of Yost for awhile now, but I want to give him some props. Thank god Turnbow has not been put in any critical situations yet. It has helped our bullpen considerably. Although Mota struggled a bit today, the pen was excellent. Keep him for non-critical situations and the team will be fine. I take back the props I gave to Yost.
  13. I harshly disagree. In baseball drafts, there are high amounts of failures in early first round. There are also good tenth round picks. This is not the NFL. Players don't get to be looked at for three or four years after high school for the most part. Development takes longer and there is a far more chance for injury or failure over that extra course of time.
  14. what channel on direct tv is this on?
  15. Bill Hall batting 5th is absolutely absurd. Move Hart to five, Jj to six, and Hall to seventh. Simple.
  16. I love this team and can see great things. I have a couple major problems-Turnbow and Hall. These two guys can fit in with reduced roles, but not key team roles. I think that Turnbow can be a 7th inning guy and Hall can bat 7th in the lineup. Hall is just overrated by Brewers and Turnbow just loved by Yost. Don't bat Hall 5th and don't pitch Turnbow in the 8th every other day.
  17. I'm back guys! Anyway...Turnbow was awful. It will look good for you statheads, but I hope you see why Yost is hiding him in the pen now.
  18. Simple answer is "no."
  19. Prince will be fine. He understands the business. If he does not want to sign long-term deal, this is what he has to accept. He will make 10 million next year anyway.
  20. not sure when wrigley has charm anyway. something about peeing in a trough that just isn't charming to me I think they have officially done away with the troughs. At least last year in the bleachers they were gone.
  21. Great counterpoint. Count me in on that deal. I think the players will have no choice but submit to blood testing,if not immediately, at least the next CBA in a couple of years.
  22. I think it is a scrap heap as well for the most part. The only ones with tangible value are Pie, Gallagher, and even Cedeno. (You cannot overlook AAA production like his.) Maybe Colvin too. However, for some reason, teams see value both in Dumpster and Marquis. I, however, do not understand why.
  23. He definitely took the "high" road on that one. I, for one, don't really care that much about it and would like to see it go away. In fact, let's try to move forward and have player's give blood tests from this point on and be done with it.
  24. I will keep you posted, but I did just talked with someone I know who was John McDonough's (Cubs former VP) assistant who is still there and he told me that both the Willits and Roberts deals are hot right now and would be surprised if one of them is not done by the end of the week. Names he told me the Cubs are willing to trade are Cedeno, Theriot, Gallagher, Fontenot, Marquis, Dempster, or maybe even Pie. Cubs AA former first round pick Tyler Colvin could be in a package as well. I apologize for being a Brewer fan who knows someone in Cub hierarchy, by the way. Living in Chicago makes it tough to know any Brewer contacts.
