  1. Saturday: Section 326, Row 5 Sunday: Section 419, Row 18 I'll the be first one there Saturday!
  2. Each and every player has probably been the reason for at least one of our 90 wins. When all was said and done, the difference was a single win. Here are a few of my favorites: Guillermo Mota: Yes, he had a few terrible stretches, but he's had a few remarkable outings. Namely, inheriting a bases-loaded jam with no outs in extra innings on August 24 and escaping with no damage. Dave Bush: I've always believed he'd be capable of throwing a no-hitter. When he's on, he's an incredible pitcher. Don't forget about his two overly-amazing outings this season: June 19 (no-hitter into the 9th) and July 10 (13 K). Seth McClung: He bridged the gap between the end of Carlos Villanueva's stint in the rotation after the Red Sox series until CC Sabathia arrived. He did a fine job of holding down the fort. I also enjoyed his multi-hit game against Randy Johnson. Rickie Weeks: I hate his defense. I hate the way he botched the DP against the Cubs. I hate the fact that he hasn't lived up to his potential. But I was so happy for him on Friday night. That HR was an important piece of Brewers history. We might be playing tonight in NYC if not for his homer.
  3. We're due to beat the Phillies a couple of times. Let's hope we can catch some lightening in a bottle, and we can add some more memories to this wonderful season. And most importantly, Brewers: please don't get swept.
  4. http://www.usatoday.com/s...bs-playoff-coverage_N.htm Brian Anderson will be the play-by-play man for the Brewers-Phillies series!
  5. http://en.wikipedia.org/w...hise_post-season_droughts http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milwaukee_Brewers http://en.wikipedia.org/w..._League_Wild_Card_winners Sniff it, people. It feels so official now!
  6. Will Ueck be doing radio games or is there some national broadcast that usurps his right to call the game? Ueck will definitely be doing radio games http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif There's a chance Brian Anderson will be calling our postseason games for TBS.
  7. It was simply an unbelieveable atmosphere -- I've never been to a postseason game (that will change Saturday), but that was certainly a postseason atmosphere. Past Cubs game, CC's first game, etc. have nothing on today's game. It was incredible. I'll bet you that the contingent of Cubs fans at today's game (who were far outnumbered) will always remember today's game. The Braun HR was a top moment in Wisconsin sports history -- fans going NUTS, deafening crowd noise, hugging strangers, high-fiving Cubs fans who wanted the Brewers to win (so they could play the Dodgers), and the crying. I'm a big Packer fan. But for the first time in memory, the Brewers trumped the Packers. The Packers were relegated to the left corner in the JS this morning. They were also relegated to WKTI. A THREE hour Brewers pregame on WTMJ!? Awesomeness.
  8. They have priority over the Twins or WSox vs. Rays, but this game is second on the totem pole. When the playoffs were on ESPN, these games started at noon. Notice the 8:30 pm local start at Wrigley on Thursday -- late start in Wrigleyville.
  9. Link. Saturday at 5 pm at Miller Park. Who's excited? Thursday's game isn't too late.
  10. The Cubs held back some tickets. I purchased 2 tickets for Game 5 of the NLDS at Wrigley on Thursday afternoon. It's a possibility, albeit unlikely.
  11. I started crying when Braun hit the homer I will admit. I cried too. I couldn't cry when Ryan Church flied out, but I cried when Braun homered. I'm happy for so many people -- for the long suffering, dedicated fans on this site, for Mark A., for Bob Uecker, Jim Powell, Rock, for Bud, and for Ned Yost, too. Winning 90 games was awesome, too. I can't wait for Bob's call of the first playoff game since 1982. I can't wait to see the NLDS logo on the infield grass. I can't wait for the introductions of the Brewers and Phillies rosters on the baselines on Wednesday and Saturday, like on Opening Day. I can't wait to walk through the crisp autumn air, walking towards Miller Park for a playoff game. What a season -- this feels great, but imagine what it'll feel like if we can make a run at a title!
  12. Best atmosphere ever. Thought I might cry, but I didn't. I was coming close after the Braun HR. We were high-fiving Cubs fans, hugging strangers ... it was simply unforgettable. I can't believe we're going to the playoffs. 26 years ... kiss my butt.
  13. I have so many different emotions and thoughts. I am nervous and terrified. I fear that CC will give up 4 runs in the first inning. I also realize that "it" could happen tomorrow. And I like our chances in a 163rd game. Since the beginning of the Pirates series, I've been telling myself that the baseball gods won't make it easy on us. When we had a 5.5 game lead on Sep. 1, the baseball gods weren't going to let us cruise. When we were up a game Friday night, they weren't going to let us win it Saturday night. It just isn't the Brewers way. I think we just may win this thing, but we're going to sweat it out. And, by the way, big Packer fan here. I don't give two rips about the Packer game tomorrow. God's speed to all my fellow Brewer fans ... I hope we can shed some tears of joy tomorrow afternoon.
  14. "This Town" by O.A.R.
  15. Guys... They'll probably have "Wild Card Champions" hats in the Brewers clubhouse tomorrow. If the Marlins win, they'll put plastic over the lockers. This is so close, but I'm still immensely worried.
  16. True. I guess I wasn't being specific enough -- I meant as far as local telecasts, newspapers, radio, etc. But WTMJ will carry the Packer game over a potential Brewers clincher on Sunday. And next Sunday, when the Brewers are potentially playing Game 4 of the NLDS, WTMJ will carry the Packer game over the Brewer game. I love the Packers, but this should be the Brewers time in the sun.
  17. Santana threw a career-high 125 pitches on Tuesday night, and will now start on 3 days rest. He's 7-0 with 2.00 ERA in his last 13 starts. He'll battle Florida's Ricky Nolasco, who is 5-1 with 2.82 ERA in his last 11 starts, but has a 6.92 ERA in his last 10 appearances against New York. Follow the game at mlb.com, hope for the best, and LET'S GO MARLINS!
  18. stupid question but are you out the money if there isn't a game 5? or are you going to get a refund somehow? I'll be out $16 in service fees. If it doesn't go the distance, then, oh well, the reward was much too great. Otherwise, I'll get refunded fully. Anybody have the best idea of where to sell them? Anybody know any Cubs fans who would pay handsomly to attend a postseason gaem?
  19. If "it" happens on Sunday, if "it" happens at all, will "it" be overshadowed by the Packer game? I say yes.
  20. Correct The champagne will likely be on ice. Plastic over the lockers!
  21. Volstad turning in a Vargas-esque performance thus far. If he continues to walk guys, his luck won't continue. And, by the way, Fernando Vina just said Manny Ramirez should win NL MVP.
  22. You have to wonder if Orel is neutrally rooting for the Cubs tonight. And I believe razzzor is correct -- Lou isn't messing around in Milwaukee. Now, he won't kill his bullpen, but this means it's imperative that the SP is good in this series.
  23. That was their analysis? Vina also mentioned the slower pace of life in Milwaukee vs. New York. The Mets dude talked about how Wisconsin had some good cheese, but the Mets are better for baseball because when immigrants first come to America, they come to New York. He also mentioned the New York Giants winning the Super Bowl.
