He was ranked between 64 and 80 by three publications' top 100 prospect rankings before 2014 when he got hurt and lost two seasons to TJS. That's really the only reason he's a long time minor leaguer. And Yelich's ball was foul. Will try to get video of it later.
Well, I guess you can't take anything as sarcasm. I've never sold a ticket to any sporting event, I even went to Cubs/Brewers games at Miller Park in 2003 and 2004 when the Brewers were awful and Cubs fans were in peak "bro-dom."
If Cain couldn't see the ball he needs to be screaming that. Signaling to Santana "come here" with your hand does nothing. He's either looking at the ball in the air and can't see your hand and assuming you have it considering you're not saying anything and it's 100% the centerfielder's ball or he takes his eye off the ball, sees your signal and then has to look into the sun and find the ball again.
This is why I do it. Started out batting right handed because I had more control of the bat with my left hand on the bottom. Tried switch hitting around 9 (and really the only reason I did that is because I loved Ken Griffey Jr. and his swing and wanted to emulate it.) I was okay batting left handed but it never really felt comfortable so I went back to exclusively batting right handed when I was around 12.
Almora is in the lineup only because he can hit lefties and he bunts. Now he was trying to bunt for a hit but still, you have a runner on 2nd with no outs and the top of your order up. That's not the time to bunt.
Miley's final rehab start is today I think. If he gets knocked around again, I see no reason at all to give him any starts at the ML level. Even if he doesn't get knocked around I see no reason to give Miley starts the ML level.
The A's couldn't give a single crap about a "legit big leaguer" so they can win 76 games instead of 74. Lowrie actually has legitimate value and could net a good prospect yet you think their move should be to trade him for a soon to be 28 year old? It's insane to me. Trading for a Broxton is fine when you're giving up a nobody like Jason Rogers for him. Trading an actual good big league player for Broxton is dumb, no matter how much their other outfielders may be struggling.
