  1. If all we get for Hardy and Jackson is Figgins and Quinlan I'd just keep Jackson and Hardy.
  2. Looks like Counsell is going to the Padres for two years. sandiego.padres.mlb.com/N...sp&c_id=sd
  3. I know he's had injuries but what are they? Are they nagging injuries that could likely happen again, freak injuries?
  4. Interesting. I like this (if it happens) if it's one year with incentives. Of course we'll need to thin out the outfield even more.
  5. We all need to be quiet and let Melvin work his magic.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  6. They gave Matthews Jr. friggin' $10 million per year. This would be a steal for the White Sox. They have plenty of offense with Thome, Dye and Konerko. In return they get a jack of all trades and a young pitching stud.
  7. And married to a Playboy Playmate, just thought I'd add that...http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  8. I disagree. They basically have the same numbers and same skills. Loretta is only 8 months older than Graffy.
  9. Loretta would be a great choice for leadoff if you don't want speed at leadoff but good on base skills.
  10. Funny thing about the Dodgers not being interested. There's a Dodger fan on the ESPN board that says the Dodgers need a left handed outfielder to hit between Garciaparra and Kent. I brougt up the Ken Rosenthal blurb and how the Brewers should give Jenkins+something else to get Penny. I'm still waiting for a response.
  11. So our rotation would be Sheets/Penny/Capuano/Bush/Villanueva. I can definitely live with that.
  12. Westbrook is a FA after 2007 but this has to be made up. Here's where all these trades are talked about. It's just posters making offers to see if another team would take it. There is absolutely no validity to this at all. And if Melvin thinks about trading Hall and Turnbow for 27 year old career minor leaguer and out of options Guthrie, free agent to be after the season Westbrook and crappy Jason Michaels he should be fired immediately.
  13. I'd like Penny. He has a limited no trade clause though. Money shouldn't be a problem ($7.5M in 2007, $8.5M in 2008 and a clup option worth $8.75M in 2009.) If we could get him here for Jenkins+something else I'd do it.
  14. I may be wrong but doesn't Berkman play 1st base? If so I doubt they'll move him.
  15. Umm wow Houston really should've front loaded that contract. I can't wait to see him making $18.5 million at age 35 and trying to play defense. And yeah Mench for Lopez would be fine with me, Jenkins for Lopez not so much.
  16. On the plus side Jones would kill some of the insects in the outfield with some of his throws.
  17. Hooray for sprained ankles. I should just stop playing football now. I haven't had much luck lately.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  18. Is that the way to San Jose?
  19. Well this is simple. Lee LF/Burrell LCF/Rowand CF/Victorino RF SS/3B Rollins/ SS/2B Utley/1B/2B Howard It really is as simple as that.
  20. I don't think the Brewers plan on him being amazing. I think a 4.4-4.6 ERA is what they would want from him as a rookie. I think they may try to get another proven starter too and have Villanueva in AAA or in the bullpen as the 6th starter.
  21. I doubt that happens. I'd love Bay but he's locked up at a great price. Pirates fans may burn down PNC Park if ownership traded Bay. Umm this trade sucks for us. We give up a solid 4/5 starter and a young outfielder with good potential. Plus Giles is owed $18 million over the next two years. As long as we have another starting pitcher to replace Davis (I'm talking proven starter) I'd do this. I'd like this gamble too. And the Braves might take that deal. Another proven starter and a nice pitching prospect for Hudson. Yeah there's no way San Diego does that trade. I like this trade too. Is it enough to get Chicago to do it though? Sign me up for this one. We may need to sweeten the deal for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim of California by Disney Land on the West Coast by the Pacific Ocean though.
  22. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/roll.gif http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/roll.gif
  23. Anybody else want to take this one or do I have to?
  24. Make the Rays add Kazmir. That's a great trade...for us, not them but who cares about them?http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
