its been radio silence, nothing really out of MLB or MILB. In the past, everything was already decided by now. For example, even though the brewers were one of the 3 last teams to pick a triple a team last go around, they did announce San Antonio on September 18th two years ago.

was worth the chance, but never worked out here. Aquilar wasn't working out here neither, so still can't be upset about the trade.

i hate teams that don't end in an S. for example Green Bay Booyah. Miami heat. least favorite of the 5 is moo.

look at the clevinger deal as what was available and starters are more valuable than closers. Maybe teams would commit more once there is more clarity on the 2021 season and beyond, but there were no mega deals like we have seen in the past at the deadline.

Isn't the plan less teams/ leagues / levels, etc. Since carolina and Wisconsin are both single A, I can't see them both existing in their current forms. Appleton is nice for proximity, but does present some issues in the spring. Maybe Carolina moves up to double A, Appleton is the single A, and San Antonio stays triple A or they find a new affiliate.

you probably have to replace him, but i don't think he is very much to blame for the brewers offensive woes, just like he shouldn't get much credit for the players that excelled last season. Hitting coaches, atleast to me, get more blame and credit than they deserve for any players failures or successes.

former all star, left handed bat who hit 30 homers last year. I guess I can see why this was attractive to Stearns despite his career numbers

I don't think this has anything to do with budget cuts, but rather get a younger guy here to see what he can do.

I thought Smoak was OK. Clearly they wanted to get someone younger in there to see what he can do. I have been harking for a while that there is no long term plan at the corner IF's. This really doesn't fix it.

another arm to be excited about. its time to see what he can do up here. His time in the organization has been tumultuous, at best. No doubt he can pitch though, lets see if he can do it in the bigs.

if they were going to make a move, this is kind of what I expected. Either bring in a guy like Neil Walker or trade a guy like phelps.
