  1. isn't pretty set that Jones, and both Williams will be the RB's. Will be interesting to see if they do keep a FB, If not, Carsen too?
  2. this thread is destined to be blocked, so lets get that over with now. anyway, i can't see this more as a depth move for San Antonio. They did trade away a starter in Dubon and did lose Hiura to the big club. They can only bring up 3 players on Sept 1, doubt Kang will be one of those 3 or I'd be shocked if he ever came up to Milwaukee for a minute.
  3. its so hard to evaulate, yes neither one looked good, but netiher one had Aaron Jones, their starting OL, Davante Adams, etc. NOBODY is going to give up on any QB that they think has any potential, after so many injuries last season. Maybe you can trade for one just before cutdown day, but you will pay a premium. I think they are stuck with Kizer.
  4. I think he will, I think Davis / Moore are the odd men out.
  5. i have no issue with the Aguilar move, its the dubon one that myself and I believe adambr2 questioned.
  6. It feels like Stearns went into the deadline intent on trading Dubon for relief help, and when the market for Dubon was far less than expected, panicked and just took whatever he could get at the last second. maybe, but he wasn't one to make panicked moves in the past. Maybe he never thought he was much of a prospect no matter how high he is on prospect lists, but considering most brewer fans would be shocked if they made a run similar to 2018, its tough loosing a prospect when you don't have that many as it is.
  7. excited to see what Black can do. From what I saw of Faria, he can't locate his splitter which is allegedly his out pitch. Also do not care what Aguilar does in Tampa Bay he wasn't doing it here and there is no reason to believe that he would be playing as well (small sample size withstanding here)
  8. 100%, doubt that the brewers are going to have the luxury of stacking their rotation. Probably will have to pull out all of the stops the last few days to get in, if they are so fortunate to be in that position (knocking on wood as I type)
  9. I don't remember the schedule coming out this early ever. I thought it was usually in September towards the last week or 2 of the season. Not sure what the reason for this is. Still think a lot of cubs fans will be there. Prices on the secondary market are always high for Opening Day, with the cubs in town, they will be higher. Season ticket holders can really make a big dent into their invoice by just skipping opening day.
  10. YES! for a team TIED for the 2nd wildcard, there are alot of negative people here. There was a period from 93-07 that I would be so excited I couldn't contain myself to be in this position. I know there were high expectations coming into this year and last year killed us but for so many people giving up on the season is crazy. I won't say that I haven't been down on their chances this season at some points and I can't say I am not disappointed in how the season has been so far as a whole, but still we are in the race and I'd rather focus on that then 2020 or figuring out where things went wrong this year, or whatever people are fixated on these days.
  11. patrickgpe, you have two 'E. Garcia's' on your list. Is that an error? I will remove the second one unless you correct things. Thanks. yes, please remove #24, and bump the 3 up.
  12. #1 bucks needed cheap help off of the bench #2 makes giannis happy before he has a super max in-front of him. only 2 reasons he is on the team.
  13. yes i agree broxton is better, but he has gotten some big hits this year. its hard to put up numbers when you are getting only a handful of at bats a week.
  14. brewers seems to have to get him in the lineup everyday there is a righty. I think the 2 ways are (3 way platoon between cain, braun and grisham (preferred), or move braun to 1st (very risky). I feel bad for gamel too who has had a great season and is not #5 in the OF depth.
  15. Davies hasn't been himself of late, so this is good news. As far as the rotation, I don't know why they don't give Supak a chance. He did have an excellent triple A debut and is on the 40 man already. it would be nice to see that one of the 2 are just temporary pen help and supak gets a chance up here.
  16. bucks get a matchup with the sixers on the road for Christmas. Probably the best they were going to get. Figured it would be them or Boston. (Boston gets Toronto).
  17. 1. B. Turang 2. Z. Brown 3. T. Grisham 4. T. Supak 5. D. Rasmussen 6. E. Small 7. A. Asby 8. T. Lutz 9. M. Feliciano 10. C. Ray 11. E. Garcia 12. P. Henry 13. A. Kelly 14. D. Williams 15. M. Bello 16. D. File 17. A. Bettinger 18. J. Gray 19. B. Wahl 20. F. Valerio 21. P. Abreu 22. L. Erceg 23. L Medina 24. E. Garcia 25. K. Howell 26. J. Nottingham 27. N. Griep.
  18. easy to do this today, Braun can just DH. I don't see them benching Cain. Maybe a platoon between Cain, Braun and Grisham in center and right? will be interesting.

  20. not happy with this trade but I get it. they must really like Black to give up Dubon for him and a rental who has struggled.
  21. Id trade moose, not grandal. they have options to replace moose, but really nothing solid at catcher. if thats what they have to do get some pitching, i like that solution rather than trading their last few top prospects.
  22. you guys, he had a 4.97 ERA for San Antonio, this is clearly a case of hindsight is 20/20 for those complaining that he isn't in our rotation. nobody was clamoring for him to be brought up while he was there.
  23. looking at his stats, looks like trade was about right. Hatch is their 29th best prospect, his stats don't move the needle for me and he did miss all of last year.
  24. Best (and most reasonable) post of the thread. This trade is very minor in the grand scheme. They gave up a 25 year old double A reliever, who has been in the system since 15 for someone who MAY be able to help in the rotation or pen.
