  1. MLB has nothing on the line. ESPN does. Braun being out for 50 games is not good for business. If further allows people to think that the game has not been cleaned up and it takes one of their young superstars out of the game for 2 months.
  2. last raw before RR25, should be interesting. I'm thinking the Jericho thing will make more sense after sunday but not sure much will be revealed tonight.
  3. here is more audio http://www.thebig1070.com...phy.xml&mid=21752451

  5. So...if this is true...does this mean that two other Brewers tested positive and are also going through an appeal process? I sure hope not! well we don't know if they are even on the team still. The other thing that i thought of right away that if they were anything close to a significant player espn would have reported it in December too, i would think.
  6. yeah, i wasn't listening today (stopped listening to 1250 once they took rome off), but the big1070 out of madison has been posting updates on their facebook page as the show has moved on.
  7. it coming out in december was probably the best for the brewers, it allowed them to have a backup plan together if there is a suspension. this is another black eye for espn no matter what happens in the appeal i believe. Its not going to change how they do business though, which is sad because they really don't even have any competition as a cable sports television station.
  8. also reporting 2 other teammates had "spiked" testosterone levels at the time of Braun's test
  9. they are much better than their record. If bogut would have been playing for the west coast road trip they would probably be 500 now. There are so many bad teams in the east, its going to be hard for them to not make the playoffs since they have more depth than most teams. Well that is basically the problem. Sure there is a decent chance we get a 6-8 seed and make the playoffs. Then we will get trounced get a first round pick around 15-20 and get no one of consequence that can help the team. It is a vicious cycle. Being a small market middling team in the NBA is a deathwish. You need those Top 5 picks. i agree, which is the problem. Herb Kohl doesn't really want the team to be awful, so we bring in players like dunleavy who is a good player but far from great. In the NBA you need stars, which the bucks don't have any and the only way they can get one is to draft one. When you are picking at 15 every year its tough to get one.
  10. they are much better than their record. If bogut would have been playing for the west coast road trip they would probably be 500 now. There are so many bad teams in the east, its going to be hard for them to not make the playoffs since they have more depth than most teams.
  11. went there on sunday, chicken was good. would much rather go there than bw3's. Soda machine was pretty cool but i could see it being largely inefficient when the restraunt was busy since the few people that were in the restaurant when i got there took a few minutes each playing with it.
  12. i think i need to go there for lunch tomorrow to experience this coke freestyle (although i am not a huge fan of wings, do they only serve wings or chicken tenders too
  13. good question, i figured he would be a heel eventually, just not so soon. the problem is smackdown has no good healthy heels, so i feel they are forcing him to be one and much too early
  14. but you don't since they aren't on during the same time. The choice is 30 rock and BBT which isn't as easy, although BBT always wins and i double back to 30 rock on the dvr. i did like gabe and ryan trying to suck up to Robert, dont want to say more to not ruin it.
  15. figured i'd give this a bump. kind of liked last nights episode although it seems like the office is drinking much more than they used to in the michael scott days.
  16. i read somewhere yesterday that it was believed to be in the 1 to 1.5 million per year range, not sure by who though
  17. i'm sure there will be one more RAW like that, and at the Royal Rumble "she" will come out.
  18. i agree, the don't have a power hitter on the bench, other than that they are good. also would like to see a lefty in the pen.
  19. i think they are, i know they were looking at bringing in the kings of wrestling among others. the problem is that there were only 2 real tag teams on raw. i really miss the days of the huge tag teams in the 90's.
  20. thought it was a pretty good raw last night. I agree the laurinaitis stuff is pure gold, with him not opening up ryders medical clearance and the cm punk stuff. not sure where they are going with jericho these days. how long can they keep him not talking or wrestling. on a side note, it was just announced that evan bourne failed the wwe wellness policy for the second time and is suspended 60 days, got to think he is done in the wwe. air boom could have been a great tag team especially since their depth is so weak in the division.
  21. i think its a good insurance policy to sign him. the problem is even if Braun is not suspended, the OF power off of the bench is non-existence with Aoki and Gomez or Morgan as the 2 primary backups. Combined with the lack of other power off of the bench, it could be a concern.
  22. say what you want, he did stump the journal sentinel beat reporters and the news stations, and the soda contract is worth millions of dollars a year i would guess, so its a big deal. probably the second biggest one behind miller.
  23. Finally Mark has reported that the contract with Pepsi being a sponsor at Miller Park has expired. Brewers have approached Coca-Cola about being a sponsor but Pepsi remains interested in keeping the sponsorship but not at the figure the brewers presented to them.
  24. that line of the song has been in my head all day
  25. I hate to burst your bubble but they're 4-6 playing one of the easiest schedules in the NBA. They've beaten 1-9 Washington, 3-7 Minnesota, 7-4 San Antonio and 2-9 Detroit. They've lost to 2-9 Charlotte, 7-4 Denver, 6-4 Utah, 4-6 Phoenix, 4-7 Sacramento and 5-3 Los Angeles. the only lost i can blame them for is charlotte, they are obviously a different team without bogut. looking forward to see what they can do back to back at dallas tonight. it would be like taking braun out of the 2012 lineup and complaining that the brewers can't score runs. (which is a possibility still unforunately)
