  1. arod and braun is the new desktop at work and home, great picture
  2. personally i would rather have them go to 8 man lineups then have a DH, which of course the union would never stand for. it adds so much more strategy to the game and makes nl games much more interesting to watch and scrutinize than al.
  3. i love that the indians got #29 only because he thought it was not pc to have chief wahoo still on the hat. i would like to see how paul lucas would rank the 30. Really the only mlb uniforms i do not care for are the marlins and the nationals. i do have a hang up with the marlins color scheme and i do not like their script. its not like we have a team with uniforms like the late 90's angels.
  4. http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/7629005/ranking-uniforms-worst-best saw this. so much to argue over i thought this would be a good topic. brewers are #22 because they didn't like the yellow alternates that we wore once. definitely gave alot of weight to the traditional uni's of the cards, dodgers, yankees. i can't argue too much with those. not sure why some of the more traditional uni's like the cubs, braves, and red sox got placed in the middle of the pack. i think the worst choice is the marlins at #7 i will agree with the padres at #30 only because they are very bland, sorts of like the camo top, but i wouldn't use alternates in the rankings if i were doing them.
  5. why can't people just say it was their company and was looking to sell it and put it in the trading post. i did get the milwaukeetshirtguys.com braun clean drug test shirt, which is pretty nice
  6. the last couple rock promo's have seem to been nothing more of saying random things and seeing if it can trend on twitter. kung pow chicken? really. Cena (whether fabricated or not) has a legit beef with the rock, i don't see the rock having one with cena. i enjoyed the opening too, but i actually was switching between the brewers / marlins replay on FSN because RAW was boring to me, until the rock came out.
  7. plus it includes a summerfest ticket which is more than 10 dollars anyway
  8. nooooooooooooooo i want it i want it! odds are they will still be for sale when you arrive in august at the fanzone inside the stadium.
  9. i thought thursday was the funniest in a while. i agree that the show has gone downhill, but that would be expected when you lose someone like steve carell. this has been said on the thread numerous times, but the show set such a high standard, it can no longer live up to it. its still as funny as most of the top shows on tv these days some times, some episodes are bombs. the fact that after every show some people here like it and some hate it, shows that everyone is looking for something different, which is tough for a show to live up to.
  10. reports are that temple is in talks to join the big east, which would be pretty huge for the big east. I still would like to see xavier to join too. Can't think of why the upper echelon A-10 teams wouldn't want to join the big east and have much more exposure. Those are the 2 only schools that one would make the case helps the big east.
  11. brewers have signed jay gibbons to a minor league contract, i assume for more insurance for braun according to tom haudricourt
  12. you may be right, they may be leaning that direction with having otunga vs jackson the last 2 nights. it would be more watchable, i just hope those 2 aren't the 2.
  13. all those suggestions are great. another famous tourist bar is http://www.safe-house.com/ the miller brewery tour is OK, but i'd recommend the http://www.lakefrontbrewery.com/lakefront-brewery-home-page.html also not sure how much fun an Italian would have, but that weekend is irish fest. the summerfest grounds is a very unique experience on the lake and it is very enjoyable just walking around. there are a couple of cheaper hotels downtown like the ramada, plus you would be right by most tourist attractions. It is a easy commute to miller park from downtown. Staying in the waukesha area is kind of hairy because the highway gets jammed before games since everyone enters the stadium from the freeway. Staying downtown makes it very easy to access the stadium from the city streets
  14. Until they face each other at WM. And sadly, that's not in blue. i was thinking the same thing, will be as bad as the cole- lawler fight last year, with the winner getting control of both shows.
  15. i agree that the KOW could be fine by themselves, but the tag team division is so weak, they may be forced to compete in it. How sad is in that WWE has 1 freaking tag team. I know it will never be the late 80's and early 90's again with all of the larger than live tag teams, but jeez give us 4 decent ones, where you don't have to put together singles wrestlers to compete against them.
  16. i am looking forward to the bryan - punk fight tonight. both are the breed of wrestlers that i enjoy watching. i love the guys that rose up from the indie ranks to make it. While I personally find bryan a bad heel, you can't argue with his in ring ability. I understand that they had atleast add another major heel to the smackdown brand, but he doesn't come right as a heel for me.
  17. got the email, but i was lucky enough to able to buy extras with our full season ticket holders that a bunch of guys share, so we all get to go to opening day.
  18. pretty good raw. only thing i could take issue with was that they did the 10 man battle royal when everyone knew who was going to win, but oh well. Not sure what they are going to do with Shaq now as they are definitely building towards a show / rhodes match. if reports are right that shaq has signed on, maybe it will be a tag team match, but now sure who would team up for rhodes now.
  19. i was there too. was surprised to see the show lead off with the raw elimination chamber match. the 2 EC matches were really good, but the rest of the card was brutal. i hear the diva match was good but i used that time to get a beer and some food. Santino put on a good show. i was glad they let him get down to the final 2 and bryan still won. Figured Rhodes or Bryan would win so they can face Sheamus at wrestlemania. I found it curious that Y2J was never pinned. Also i am not sure what was the point of Johnny Ace's big announcement, there really wasn't one, minus setting up an angle with Teddy Long I saw them putting up that padded box thing so i knew that someone was getting thrown into from the ambulance. crowd wasn't that in to it. The swagger gabriel match was pretty pointless too. seems like they just needed to kill 10 minutes.
  20. personally i will be shocked if any title changes hands on sunday. i am looking forward to the cena-kane fight though. There has only been 4 fights announced, i am thinking there will be a atleast one more announced before the ppv.
  21. flaming lips were awesome last year, i guess you are paying for a guaranteed seat and not having to deal with the large crowds in a small space.
  22. that had one show last year that i would see (black keys and florence and the machine). The thing with Summerfest is that they have to appease everyone. I am sure every music lover will find one show that they would see. Neil Diamond appeases an older crown and they took care of country lovers with Lady Antabellum and Zach Brown. Personally i have only once been to the Amphitheater for a summerfest show (STP reunion show). I find it more fun to go on a night where a band you like to be playing a side stage and spending the evening before they go on eating, having a few beers, and people watching.
  23. spoiler alert but they taped smackdown yesterday and its Santino subbing for orton.
  24. The brewers have always had great #2 announcers with Uecker, so i have a high level of confidence that i will like Block, even though i only heard a 10 minute interview with him on 1250.
  25. this isn't the first time Jennings said something like this, last season after the bucks played Melo's knicks he said this is why players go to big market teams. I am sure that next season the bucks may be looking to move him for younger players so he can sign an extension with a larger market team. I am fine with this. The bucks need young players to build something. Id like to see a move like what the clippers sent to the hornets for Paul (even though BJ is nowhere near the player that Paul is obviously)
