  1. i wanted marshon brooks in the first round who is off to a decent start with the nets averaging 11.5 ppg.
  2. favorite song of the year, a very interesting collaboration
  3. further proof of how low bucks fever is right now. they were running a promotion today that if you went to wendy's during lunch you got a 20 dollar certificate for any ticket in december or january except for the lakers game. took a little early lunch because i didn' t know what to expect. turns out there was not a soul at the northridge one. There were two energee dancers and a member of hoop troop giving out vouchers and pens. Went up to the counter and ordered my food. maybe had 4 people stop in while i was eating. Just image the insanity if the brewers ran something similar.
  4. i though the king is dead has some good songs, but isn't a complete album like the crane wire of the hazards of love. I compare it to castaway's and cutouts more than the 2 previous listed. the also released a followup callled long live the king, only a 6 song EP, really only like 2 out of the 6 songs though.
  5. if nothing else its depth for nashville since they are weak as far as IF prospects in the higher levels of the organization.
  6. i really like the sound opinions show out of chicago public radio, here is their top 10's Greg Kot’s Top Ten of 2011 1. Wild Flag, Wild Flag 2. The Roots, Undun 3. tUnE-yArDs, WHOKILL 4. Van Hunt, What Were You Hoping For? 5. F****d Up, David Comes to Life 6. The Feelies, Here Before 7. Raphael Saadiq, Stone Rollin 8. Bewitched Hands, Birds and Drums 9. Das Racist, Relax 10. Fleet Foxes, Helplessness Blues View Greg’s complete list 1. Le Butcherettes, Sin Sin Sin 2. Wild Flag, Wild Flag 3. Das Racist, Relax 4. The Feelies, Here Before 5. Danger Mouse and Daniele Luppi, Rome 6. F****d Up, David Comes to Life 7. Bewitched Hands, Birds and Drums 8. tUnE-yArDs, WHOKILL 9. The Decemberists, The King is Dead 10. The Go! Team, Rolling Blackouts
  7. really liked their last 2 albums
  8. would like the brewers to bring in theriot and scott to compliment Kottaras, Green, Gomez. If Braun is indeed suspended i'd like to see Gindl or Schafer up.
  9. i had their top 100 playlist on spotify up earlier this week, haven't heard most of the songs and wasn't a fan of alot of them. seems like they are trying harder and harder to stay out of the mainstream as indie music becomes more mainstream.
  10. you are correct, toronto would ideal from every perspective.
  11. Problem is with spotify, yes, it's legal and free, but it pays the artists not a whole lot. I'm all for free stuff, but being a church musician, I understand what it's like making your living writing, singing and performing music. They need to pay bills and put food on their table as well. With noisetrade, you give your email and zip code, and yeah, you get on the band/artist's mailing list, but it makes a connection that you don't really get with the major labels....plus, in my opinion, musically, it's more creative and diverse!i still buy alot of music, but use spotify to check out new artists. I still would rather have a hard copy of their music or atleast a MP3 so i can listen on my Ipod. I think the advantage of spotify is gives people more exposure to one's music and may get them to go see them live which is where musicians make a good share of their money. I checked out a band this afternoon that I never heard of (needtobreathe) and really like them and am now more likely to see them live.
  12. really liked the civil wars album, checked out the needtobreathe album on spotify at lunch today and i really like it. Spotify is a great recourse to check out albums (especially if money is an issue) you can stream any album you like and its completely legal and free.
  13. it would be better (draft pick wise) for him to sign with St Louis, where the brewers would get a 1st instead of a high 2nd. I still think he is going to the cubs or rangers.
  14. I agree, it was a very good year 1. Blitzen Trapper "American Goldwing" 2. Amos Lee "Misson Bell" 3. Foster the People "Torches" 4. Mayer Hawthorne "How do you do" 5 M83 "Hurry Up, We are Dreaming: 6 Blind Pilot "We are the Tide" 7. Adele "21" 8 Decemberists "The King is Dead" 9 Bon Iver "Bon Iver" 10 Florence and the Machine "Ceremonials"
  15. He may not be the best defensive infielder, but i see him being a decent replacement for Hariston or Counsell. I wouldn't think he would cost much more than a million dollars to bring in.
  16. since the appeal process is not complete this may be too early, but the OF of Gomez in left, morgan in center, and hart in right isn't awful. it would be the best defensive OF in the NL atleast, while obviously loosing tons of power. once the list of players that were non-tendered comes out tonight, hopefully there is a vet or 2 that the brewers can pick up for insurance.
  17. since the brewers are clearly playing for 2012, i don't mind the signing. The 3rd year is a concern. Since the brewers will have Greinke (hopefully) and Marcum for only 1 year guaranteed, I think this is the brewers best option to add a power hitter to the lineup. Still really never liked him as a player but hopefully that changes once i see him in the blue and gold. i have also thought from the beginning of free agency that i'd much rather have Ramirez for 3 yrs than Rollins for 5.
  18. Most of the weekend dates at the Bradley Center are filled up. That's why. i know the bucks always request the max saturday night games. Not sure about the BC schedule. Last season the bucks had 16 sat night home games and only 1 sat night road game. not sure what happened this season...
  19. i agree it wasn't much different than any other christmas episode, it was hilarious. really never got into community, but i must admit i haven't watched it all this season, since its opposite of big bang theory.
  20. per Ken Rosenthal on twitterstill not as good as getting 2 draft picks. If the brewers can sign a decent 1st or 3rd baseman FA, get K-Rod off of the books, sign a decent reliever, and get a prospect back, i think is the best case scenario.
  21. the CP3 trade screams of Cuban complaining to Stern.
  22. seems to me that Dunleavy and Delfino are pretty similar players. Wonder if the bucks are going to try to trade him. I also believe this puts the roster at 13 guarenteed contracts while the bucks still have to sign Luer, Harris, and LRMB.
  23. i believe its players that are one level below and the rules of returning players do not exist.
  24. pretty good contract for someone who completely floundered in the playoffs.
  25. now i got to worry about prince going to the cards or cubs. They are also reporting the angels want wilson too, they are definitely going for it as well.
