Wow, the awkward level of the booth with President Bush in it is through the roof. Jon and Joe don't seem to know what to talk about with him at all.

 

As for the Nationals new stadium, something about green outfield walls that make it look unfinished or like PNC Park.

For curiosity sake I would love to see what a team run owned by George Bush and GM'd by Joe Morgan would look like.

Hudson with 29 pitches in the 1st and then just 23 over the next 3 innings. The little things like that make such a big difference since the Nats had a real chance to put him in pitch count troubles early in this game and failed.

A Bush-owned, Morgan-ran team would need Dusty Baker as the coach, and then it would be the most polarizing team in baseball. Ideally, they would buy the Cubs.

I like that camera angle at Nationals park when there is a flyball. It does a good job of showing a player moving in on the ball.

I had to rewatch it a few times, and I'm pretty sure he said "erratic", but this is the call I heard from Joe Morgan on the foul ground ball to Ryan Zimmerman in the 7th:

 

"It sure did have some... erotic... spin on it."

Matt Wise gives up 2 hits in .1 innings in his Mets debut. Luckily for the Mets they got out of the inning with to damage.

 

I am so glad we have Riske, Torres, and Mota instead of that bum for late game work.
