mets adjust rotation...sheets vs santana on saturday

For some reason Santana is getting another day off, ESPN thinks it has something to do with the Phillies-Mets rivalry.

Either way, that could be an outstanding game.

is this new news? I guess I thought this was for sure the matchup.

Regardless, Santana is a lefty, I like the way we matchup against him... as much as you can matchup against Santana. I'm not as scared of him as I was of Cueto.

Really? I mean I'm not going to start a debate or anything, but I'd rather not face the best pitcher in baseball over the past 4-5 seasons over a guy who had one major league start coming in to last night.

Looks like Santana will just have another tough loss like his one to Smoltz the other day.

Other than Prince (who does relatively well against LHP), we have a RH power lineup. We just seem to have LHP down. Sure, we will strike out probably 8-12 times, but there will be a could HRs as well. I could have easily seen Cueto throwing another 7 IP, 1 ER (which he almost did). Santana i think will be more like 7.2 IP 104 Pitches, 3 ERs. Maybe I'm crazy, but I can't believe I'm the only person that thinks this way.

Also, there is a lot more footage of Santana. Rookie power pitchers scare the crap out of me, especially when they can locate like Cueto.

It's too bad this game isn't in HD. In fact none of the Mets games are in HD and only one game on the road trip is, the 15th against the Cards.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif

I'll be there with a buddy from New York and am really looking forward to it. Anyone else going to be there wearing Brewers gear? I'm told the Shea faithful can be a little brutal, so I'll temper my cheering to appropriate times.

I'm there! I won't be wearing Brewers gear though. Message me your seat number, I'll send you mine when I get it from my buddy. Maybe we can have a beer.

If you don't act like a baffoon, you'll be fine. NY fans aren't as mean as others. If you were wearing Phillies stuff, it'd be a different story.

I remember two years ago, getting mowed down by some rookie southpaw in Milwaukee, despite us killing lefties. If only the kid's arm didn't go the way of John's Tommy from his devastating slider, he would be considered to be the top pitcher in baseball. As for the matchup, I say we put his head on a swivel, Jose Reyes-MLBtheSHOW-style.

I wonder...after Sheets pitches a jam how does he respond...more of the same or laying an egg. Hey Josh Fogg scares me, why wouldn't Nelson Figueroa not scare me!
