Question. Why does Criag play 3b and Tony 2b when they are in the line-up together? I was under the assumption that Tony G was the better corner IF and Craig was the middle guy (because of his arm). Guess I'm wrong.

I also do not like this line-up. These line-ups have seemed to work though, for what it's worth.

I'm starting to think that DirecTV is worse than ESPN when it comes to this "Yankees and Red Sox are the only teams that exist" thing. I'll bet that they each get over 100 games in HD on DirecTV. Of course, their respective games are on my HD channels tonight, so I won't be getting our game in HD.

 

By the way, for those watching the pregame show, Bill Schroeder was right. He was 0-for-12 lifetime against Bert Blyleven (2 Ks).

I remember Gross hitting leadoff a bunch of times towards the end of last year. While his average stinks right now, he's got some pop and his OBP should lead to some baserunners being on for J.J. and Prince for a change.
