save situation because there's runners on and the tying run is on deck...yet another reason why the "save" is probably one of the most worthless stats in baseball

It is a save situation. Save situation = runners on base + runner at plate + runner on-deck is >= number of runs in the lead.

You have to pitch a full inning with a 3 run lead, or come in to the game with the tieing run on-deck. Since the tieing run is now on-deck it would be a save situation.

I'll throw it out there right now...watching that video of his last better/leaving teh mound again, I'd be willing to bet we have seen Sheets' last game as Brewer.
