I was surprised to see Penny's ERA so high, then realized in his last start he gave up 10 earned in 4 2/3 innings. Hopefully the bats continue to be hot! (And by "the bats" I guess I mean Ryan Braun)

Wasn't sure where to ask this so...

Does anyone know the song they play right at the beginning of games?

Not the one when they're introducing the lineups, that's Marilyn Manson's "The Beautiful People".

The one they play just before the first pitch. It sounds like Jack White singing, but it's a little hard to hear from where I've been sitting. I'm pretty sure it's not the White Stripes, as (I believe) I've got all their CDs, but could be from his other band The Raconteurs.

Anyone?

It'd be sweet if CV could get his ERA to somewhere around 5 after tonight's start. He could really use a good start to boost his confidence after a couple of rough outings.

Found this note today while doing some fantasy homework.

L.A. has an OPS almost .200 points lower versus righties.

Did anyone find the record for multiple home run games in a row?

I don't seem to be typing the correct words into Google.

I do believe the record is 3 consecutive multi-home runs games

Frank Thomas - August 1, 2 and, 3 1962

Gus Zernial - May 13, 15 and 16 1951

Lee May - May 24, 25 and 27, 1969

Jeff DeVanon - June 1,3 and 4 2003

What I am looking forward to is how Prince responds to the Dodgers pitching around Braun.

Also, Can Rickie and Cam get on base enough to really make walking Braun hurt?

Goals for tonight:

1) 6IP from C-los

2) No save needed.

I want to say I picked up Jeff DaVanon on my fantasy team in '03 after his flash in the pan.

Whoops.

I'll be drinking the blue koolaid tonight again. Mmmm mmm it's good stuff - and it gave us a nice big 8-3 win yesterday - so I figure - why not!?!

Three cheers for blue Koolaid!

Hoping Ryan gets pitches to hit tonight. I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't walked at least twice.

I would be, he has 8 walks all year. I sure wouldn't mind them putting him on base willingly for Prince, though http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif.

Bold Prediction (that shouldn't be bold but that's the way things are going): J.J. Hardy or Corey Hart will hit a home run tonight.

I predict that the Brewers will be no hit and the whole team won't even care!!!

Opps, I'm only supposed to do that after a rough patch?

Frank Thomas - August 1, 2 and, 3 1962
This was much earlier in Thomas' career, when he was a shortstop. They called him "The Relatively Average Sized Hurt."

Oh! THAT Frank Thomas...

And that, is, absolutely precious. Thank you.
