Orioles win series at Wrigley: only second team to do so.

Posted

I don't know if this was posted already, but if so, I'm sure wet noodles will be posted.

I read the recap at Yahoo!

This snippet was what piqued my interest:

The Orioles broke it open with five runs in the third inning, winning the rubber game of their first-ever trip to Wrigley. The Brewers are the only other team to win a series at the Cubs' home this year, taking both trips they've made so far.

5-5 the last ten games and now they hit the road to the South Side and Out West

Hopefully this is the return to mean, but I still like our chances in a playoff series with them regardless

They've played a total of six series at home against a team with a winning record at this point in the season. They lost three of those series.
There needs to be a King Thames version of the bible.

I have to believe that the Cubs home record is unsustainable. Are they really going to go 61-20 (or thereabouts) at home? That seems impossible to me, no matter how good a team they have. I'm not turning up any results for best home record ever by an MLB team; any takers?

Good to see Dempster get messed up today. If he collapses to the 5ish ERA pitcher he should be and Zambrano struggles with injuries that isn't much of a rotation.
