For crying out loud Tomo, at least make them earn it. Walks alone will ten come back to kill you, but walking 3 in a row to walk in a run is ugly no matter how you look at it.

Well, now we've dug a hole. What could have been a very manageable 1 run at most inning turns out to be a very bad inning because of 3 untimely walks.
Posted
Well, as bad as last inning was, he's only thrown 3 innings and 59 pitches, so I don't see it as much of a surprise. Maybe if we had runners in scoring position when he came up this inning, I could have seen him getting pulled, but with 2 outs and nobody on, I don't really see the sense in burning your first pinch hitter already.

WHY IS OHKA HITTING?

I gave Ned a pass on Friday, but this is ridiculous.

Huh? There isn't a manager in baseball that would have pinch hit for Ohka there. You don't pinch hit for your pitcher in the 4th inning after under 60 pitches.

Even if he's seriously losing his you-know-what out there?

Is "pitch count" the only relevant statistic for pitchers anymore?

This one even I have to give Ned a free pass on, and I might be his biggest hater.

2 outs and nobody on - let Tomo get back out there and get rolling.

At least he got out of THAT inning, but I think the last few outings we've seen more of the mediocre Tomo Okha. Probably best to see what Jackson or Villanueva can do next year rather than foot the $5-$6 million dollar bill to bring back Okha for one more season.

Why am I even watching? I've skipped three of the last four games almost in their entirety, and when I did check in last night, I was treated to the near-meltdown in the eighth.

No, but you don't take out your starter because he loses his control for a couple hitters. Sorry but there isn't a single manager in baseball that would take Ohka out there, I've never seen anyone do anything like that after just 3 runs.

I think we are staring a 7-2 or 8-1 game right in the face right now

If that happens, be thankful they scored. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif

What a crap strike three call on Hart.

Same exact pitch off the plate one pitch before was correctly called a ball.

Bah. Crappy umpiring in this series.

Why didn't Ohka get that outside pitch get called for a strike? This ump is screwing us.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!

The strikezone it supposed to stay the same, not vary because a pitcher has 'earned it'.

You missed the conversation from late in Friday's game, eh?

Sorry. I should have referenced it.

Apparently. So I assume you were being sarcastic?
