In that situation they would probably walk Sabathia to face Weeks..

Well, it did bounce off of the 1B. If he fields it cleanly, then the play isn't even as close as it was.

And if JJ fields the ball cleanly he's got Lewis out in the first inning. Both were tough plays, and neither were errors.

 

But according to Dave Bush, the second one was.

I wasn't thrilled about leaving Braun on third, but you know what? Cain pitched tremendously after that hit. The third strike on Fielder was sick, he pitched it in a great spot to get Hart to ground to the right side, and he...well, it's not that hard to strike out Branyan. Sometimes the pitcher just does a great job.

Running on Bengie Molina is always a bad idea. Dude would throw out Rickey Henderson in Rickey's prime...there's no chance Cameron steals that base if he tries 20 times.
