Question here. To play the other side. Would walking Lee then having T-Bow go after Ramirez had been the better thing to do? The Cubs would have then only gotten one AB by their best two hitter instead of one. Am I off-base here?

 

Ramirez likes fastballs though. He got D-Bow last year and got Zumaya this year and with the bases loaded you know he'd be seeing a lot of fastballs. D-Lee a week removed from the DL is the guy you want there.

I believe that last sequence of events is called getting burned by the hit-and-run.

 

Edit: Howry mows down Weeks and Hall. The more I see it, the less I like Weeks-Hall-Jenkins in order. That's "[opposing pitcher] strikes out the side" just waiting to happen.

Still a chance for some insurance...according to gameday at least.

 

So if we magically come out of this inning alive, will Turnbow close the game still in the 9th?

 

I sure as heck hope so. Who's left in the bullpen?

 

Edit: So much for the insurance. But I still sure as heck hope to see Turnbow in the 9th.
