San Antonio is apparently turning human waste into natural gas, which can power furnaces and power plants. I don't know what San Antonio's problem is. Dont they have a large freshwater lake to dump it in like normal cities?

 

I am not classified as an environmentalist, but I assume turning a renewable resource like human waste into gas can only be a good thing. Wouldnt it be nice if Milwaukee looked into this?

My company makes a part for the generator that turns this waste into energy. Chicago has a couple and a farm in WI has one. Interesting stuff.

Doesn't SC Johnson do something with using a landfill to create power?

At many landfills they have contraptions that store the methane gas that comes out of them. Not sure if that's what you're talking about.

My company (Progress Energy) burns hog waste from the western part of North Carolina.
