Its amazing what having a pro-active manager can do for you. Ned would have waited for Ray to tear his hamstring and then denied that he was hurt and then would have said these things happen

You know one of my bold predictions this year was Seth McClung would be the closer by the end of the year. I might have been a year too early if we don't keep Torres~.

You know Gagné would have pitched the 7th if Ned were still manager.

 

Dale left McClung in and was rewarded with a strong inning.

Seth McAwesome!

 

I have to say that I approve of Dale's decision to use Seth more often (as he seemed lost in the shuffle with Ned at the helm).

McClung is on fire. I wouldn't robotically switch to one of our many tenuous setup guys just because that's what the book says. If we reach the pitcher's spot in the order then bring in the calm, cool Villanueva.

Great to see Seth come up huge yet again

 

That guy took way to much abuse on this site, near half the people calling him McDung even though he was doing a solid job

 

He seems to really like it in Milwaukee and has matured as a pitcher, Seth could end up being key in the pen for us next year

I may be biased because I was one of the few that was very pleased to see Dale replace Ned, but it sure seems like he has made all the right moves (someone with computer skills should put up a pic of that movie or something)
