2008 Milwaukee Brewers theme song?

[Pudster13]

Thinking back to 1982, the Brewer fans adopted the song "celebration" by kool and the gang to be the 82 Brewers theme song. In 1987, "team streak" adopted the song "i'm a believer" by the monkees.

What song have/should the brewer fans adopt for the 2008 playoff team?

I'm not sure if any of the player intro songs are appropriate, but I think it would be best if it is a song for this era of music.

Any suggestions?

Hopefully not that awful song ......dont know the name of it or the guy that sings it.........but they kept showing the guy on the Summerfest FSN set when doing the pre and post game shows. I was just thinking of "Come see Whats Brewin" and "Brewers Brewers keep turnin up the heat" today. Edited September 29, 2008 by ecjimg

For some reason the song "How Far We've Come" by Matchbox 20 popped in my head. Although the lyrics are frankly the exact opposite of a pump up theme song, the line "Let's See How Far We've Come" made a lot of sense given our previous 25 years of futility. Edited September 29, 2008 by jjgott

Anything but "Young Fun" by Pan Am.

[Marc Newfield of Dreams]

"Manic Depression" by Jimi Hendrix. They were a bit bipolar this year... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Why is everyone always ripping on this song and group? (Yes, I realize it's Antanasio's son) I kind of like it. In fact I was looking for a place where I could download it a couple of weeks ago.

That was very nice razzzorsharp.

I heard "My Hero" by Foo Fighters on the way home last night from the game. For me, that song will forever be associated with Ryan Braun.

I've always like "Numb/Encore" by Jay-Z and Linkin Park as a great team song.

How about "Wake Me When September Ends"?

Clearly the only answer is Eddy J Lemberger...

Not convinced? It's got a dance to go with it!

Eddie Vedder, Rise from the Into the Wild sound track. Click on the song on the right in the little box player thingy.

That's a good song and a much better reference, but if the Twins make the playoffs, it's much more arguably their song.

For me, it's gotta be Runnin' Down a Dream by Tom Petty. A legendary guitar riff and a fitting phrase.
