Hall seemed to cool off after that 1 inning stint in LF in Cincy. Between sitting out with the hammy and losing some time to Counsell he hasn't gotten his groove back. Either that or he just reverted to his natural mean, but he was hitting righties at an acceptable rate before that.

The part of the Rays lineup fiasco I found so startling was the distaste Rays fans have for Maddon. I was looking for info regarding Longoria's late scratch so finally I went to the Rays official site and their message board. There was a thread on today's original lineup and they were ripping Maddon before the snafu was even discovered. Calling him "Clueless Joe" among other things. Then when the error on the lineup card was realized they really let him have it.

Jeez that is harsh of them. All guy did was win Manager of the year and lead the team to the World Series in 2008.

Agreed, BrewCrew. I do like Macha a lot; he's a great baseball guy and I actually got to have a couple of lengthy convos with him at ST to pick his brain a little bit. With that said, if Mach wasn't the Brewers' manager, I can't think of more than 2-3 other managers that I would want on my team of choice than Maddon.

If you are looking for some good comedy, check out the cardinals blog for today. Lots of bitterness. There must be nothing worse for a Cardinals fan than seeing both the Cubs and Brewers better than your team.
