This is why Manny is beyond frustrating

No, this is why Macha is beyond frustrating. Parra should have been out of the game 3 hitters ago now, this is as stupid as Yost here.

Very Yostian of Ken Macha. IMO, he was hoping for the favorable outcome, rather than actively placing the team in the best position to win.

I figured the constant questioning of Yost was due to the number of years we had to grow tired of his act. Heck, I was one of the most outspoken against him. Apparently though manager second guessing is topic #1 in this forum.

I'm guessing his reasoning was that they had lefties coming up and it worked out for him but I still think it was a mistake.

FEWSH. Fortunately that got downgraded from hurricane to tropical depression before the storm made landfall. But I don't get what the point of leaving Manny in there was when he was clearly gassed.

I was referring to the fact that he was absolutely cruising with a PC in the low 70's going into that inning and then he has an inning like that. It just comes out of nowhere. And Macha is a very good manager imo. Not too many things he has been doing haven't worked out well and he has good reasoning behind what he does

I've had some issues with Manny's mental state at times, but this instance had nothing to do with that. If anything he showed me something there by hanging in there. That was a manager keeping a gassed pitcher out there with runners on and better options in the pen. His spot in the order wasn't even coming up. Macha has been solid this year, but I disagree with him leaving Manny out there.

That happens to every single pitcher in baseball. Gallardo was cruising in a game earlier this year, suddenly gave up 6 ER in an inning and then cruised the rest of the game. Parra needs to be babied a little at 85+ pitches and when he loses his control like that in that pitch range you should take him out. Capuano was the same way for what it is worth even though people for some reason think Bush was even though it isn't true.

It might be an odd time to point it out, but did anyone else catch Prince in his trot there and get the impression he's put some weight back on since the season started? Or is it just me?

Rats! I was going to type after the last half inning that we were going to get the 2 runs back. I should've done it.

I never said it doesn't happen at times to other pitchers - that goes without saying. Just seems to happen to Manny a lot and it is not enjoyable watching him walk people with a 4 run lead when he had been cruising up to that point
