I said on Friday after they were 5-1 on this road trip that if you told me a week ago they would have a winning record on the road to St Louis, Houston and Minn that I would have been happy. But now I have to say I would have been happier if they weren't swept in Minn. But I still think a winning record on a road trip is a good thing.

I agree completely, that is 3 straight series in parks we tend to be terrible at and it is a large part of why I expected us to be .500 this month, this stretch was the really nasty one. Going 5-4 in this stretch is a big positive even if losing 3 in a row to end it is a big negative.

Was it just me, or did anyone else wanna just strangle the entire announcing team? They literally talked about that Mauer homer for 3 innings after it happened, and didn't stop with their man crushing on Mauer for the entire game. The Brewers barely got any talk at all. Mauer's homer got about 10 replays, and tons of analysis. Ridiculous.

Out pitched, out hit, out defensed, out managed and completely out classed. I hate that dump...except when the Badgers play there. Maybe we should have sent Alvarez up there to manage this series.

I personally enjoyed the riveting Steve Phillips commentary about how Mauer had less than a quarter second to diagnose what pitch was coming and whether or not it was a strike and less than .2 seconds after that to move the bat into a hitting position. That didn't get old everytime Mauer came up to bat at all.
