It only dropped a couple feet in front of him, saying Escobar screwed up is dumb. I have previously explained why I don't like sac bunting. I have also provided links to previous discussions of sac bunting. You like it and I think it is wrong. The only reason to sac bunt is if it is to try for a hit or late in a close game. That situation was neither. When the defense knows it is coming, it is just giving up one of your 27 precious outs.

 

 

That play by Braun is a good example of why triples as a stat are a joke.

I dont know what was talked about in the last conversation but I am pretty sure this is a totally different situation. A bad hitting pitcher is not going to hit with a guy on first. That would just be really dumb to do. He would probably not move the runner and a double play is a possibility. I think I will take the man at 2nd with one out every time.

In addition, according to what the announcers said another time, the pitcher does have the option to pull the bat back and try to slap one by the infielders, if they are overplaying the bunt.
