2009-06-09 Rockies (Hammel) at Brewers (Looper): 7:05 PM CDT [Brewers lose, 3-2]

I'm guessing Macha wanted to keep away from the fly ball as much as possible...Coffey's got the sinker, I suppose.

But then why not Coffey from the start, why DiFelice. It just seemed like an odd move to burn two right handers there. Not a big deal, just weird.

My first thought was that his injury had flared back up. This game is really bumming me out, for some reason.

The Brewers offense has turned into "Braun and Fielder and pray for rain."

It sure would be nice if some other starting pitcher besides Gallardo could make it through the 7th inning. Call up Arnett!! He's an innings eater.

I think I should go back into the bathroom...we were winning back then. Seriously, it would really suck to have 2 straight games get away thanks to the bullpen.

Just a clunker of a game, and the Rockies are playing some really good baseball right now. Oh well...at least the Cards lost too, and hopefully they can bounce back with the bats again tomorrow.

True. Valid point you guys have there. Silver lining of the game: Huston Street's on my fantasy team and I picked up a save.

Would much rather have a Brewers win, though...

Pathetic.

Thank you Macha for taking out Gamel. Bill Hall's defense really helped up down a run.

Offense has been sputtering for a while. Something needs to be done.

Absolutely pathetic response to Sunday's tough loss. Looper pitches his heart out and the offense contributes nothing. Guess one off day wasn't enough for our hitters. Disgraceful showing in front of the home crowd. Hope they turn it around quickly, 'cos it's not going to get any easier against the White Sox and sooner or later the Cubs are going to start winning games.

As a team they've stopped taking walks. You don't win when you don't walk. Plain and simple.

Well, now we're faced with Cincinnati, St. Louis, and Chicago all basically tied for second place at 2.5 games back. It would be nice to start creating some separation and playing like a first place team. The last two games have been the Brewers' to win, and they've just given them away. Sunday was bad pitching, last night was bad offense.

The White Sox beg to differ.
