Still no mention about Rickie from Brian/Rock. Anybody listening to the game?

No word yet...

Robin Yount - “But what I'd really like to tell you is I never dreamed of being in the Hall of Fame. Standing here with all these great players was beyond any of my dreams.”

Bush pitched fairly poorly...

Seven innings of shutout, 3 hit ball. I really hope that Bush guy gets his act together soon.

Craig Counsell is leading Prince Fielder in RBIs for the season so far. Brewers should get on a roll once Prince gets out of his funk.

I really think Rickie just lost control of the bat on that swing. Looked awkward, but not painful. Nothing like last year imo.

Doc thinks once those sheaths are repaired, they're good to go for the long haul. Lets hope so.

"Escobar is just like Vlad Guerrero without the power" - Rock referring to Escobar's lack of plate discipline.
In the meantime, in the small sample that is the 2010 season, Escobar's plate discipline is better than the league average by a significant margin.

(League average in parentheses)

Outside strike zone swing %: 15.0 (26.5)

Inside strike zone swing %: 59.2 (63.5)

Now, he is like Vlad in that he can make contact with anything. He has made contact with every single pitch that he has swung at outside the strike zone (64.4% league average)

I know some guys just look at earned runs to decide if a pitcher did well but I have to agree with End, Bush was getting hit pretty hard. There were at least 3 pitches that were crushed that died near the warning track. I think he got a little lucky and 4BB/2K suggests as much.

Our rotation was probably due for a game where a guy was hit hard and didn't give up a lot of runs though. Seems like 50% of the runners that reach base have scored against us this year (I'm sure it is lower but not league average).

3 pitches "crushed" to the warning track and 4 walks is now a poor outing. Wow. For Doug Davis, 3 pitches crushed and 4 walks is a pretty decent inning.
