As a huge fan of baseball and high school coach. (although I myself was never a pitcher)......watching Dougie D throw.....does anyone else think that is overly-slowed delivery actually takes MPH off of his pitching?

 

It blows my mind how well he can do with it.....its quite unusual and his balance is very good for what he is doing.

You can't improve your batting average when you put the ball in play once a game. 6 for his last 35 with 15 strikeouts.

 

Just so odd. This last week he's consistently looked as bad as I ever remember a hitter looking. Nothing hit hard.

Its a good thing BA is a crummy stat. His OBP is probably just below 400 after his 0-2 start tonite.

Great .... now this ump is acting like an angry child. Mad at Gomez for calling time, so the next two are automatic strikes? He did that an inning ago to the Padres......Funny, but frustrating
