It wasn't always pretty, but a quality start for Bush. Could have gotten a little more help behind him and maybe he goes 7. For a creature of routine, going a day early didn't seem to hurt him.

 

I love Rickie and am a total Weeks apologist, but boy does he need a day off.

what makes you think that Macha will be canned so soon?
Attanasio had a manager fired with 12 games left in a season. I think he might do the same after a very poor start and an 0-6 homestand. I'm not saying it's going to happen, I just think it is possible.

But Werth is batting .357 against lefties and Ibanez is nowhere near the hitter that Howard is. Definitely not someone you need a lefty specialist for. Villa would be a good option because of that changeup. Its worked out so far and I guess with the bullpen cashed its not the worst idea. Just not what I would like to see in a tight game.

No doubt, Rickie should be out of the lineup tomorrow night and Counsell in at 2B. A day off might do him some good.
