let's sign Mark Prior!

[Crash2303]

He's pitching for the Orange County Flyers- in an Independent League. Just pitched 3 scoreless innings and struck out 6. Looks like he's back http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

I'd be open to it for next season, assuming his arm doesn't fall off between now and then.

update: 5 IP & 10 Ks

How serious is the competition level in that league, though? I do know a few MLB players have come up through there over the years.

Let's not!

I guess if it was a ST invite & MiLB contract, meh, ok. I'm just not into signing names.

[davego]

If he adds a knuckleball, I'm down with it.

...and Keith Ginter has a .800 OPS.

"...and Keith Ginter has a .800 OPS."

it MUST be a really competitive league!

Keith Ginter had an .812 OPS as a Brewer in 2004.

As for Prior, somebody is going to bring him to ST next year, it might as well be the Brewers. Nobody is going to give him a major league deal though. Last I heard, scouts weren't all that impressed with his velocity.

I think Keith's new team and the 04 'Crew are/were about even in the talent level.
