Russell Branyan to the DBacks

Sad. However, I'm assuming the Brewers (and maybe Branyan himself) think he can't play in the OF.

He would have literally been just a bat bench - it's tough to hold a roster spot for someone who can't play in the field. Although, they tried years ago with Brad Nelson behind Prince Fielder

So pretty much like Kotsay.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

Who's to say Branyan would be ok with that kind of role? He DID have an .810 OPS with 25 dingers last year. And yet people still think his ideal role is as a PHer, probably getting about 70-ish plate appearances for the course of the season.

There must be some days that Branyon is feeling a little down and depressed. So he thinks, "I'll just go read BrewerFan.net for a little while. That will make me feel better!"

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

Too bad Nelson couldn't hit either. He made Joey Meyer look like Babe Ruth. I remember him hitting a ball to the warning track once- I think that was the highlight of his career.

Looks like it's a minor league deal.

Once again, how the heck did Kotsay get a major league deal?

Dunno, it was one of the worst deals of the off season. It makes no sense at all.

July 4-6 The 3TO Show comes to Miller Park. Be ready!

Let's hope the new scoreboard is armored with Muscle-proof glass by then.

until he sees how people consistently butcher his name.
