Now that we are tied can we use good pitchers please? I would put Loe out there now until Bruce/Votto, then Braddock then Ax. Of course this wont happen since Loe can only pitch in the 8th and Axford can only pitch in the 9th

LuCroy, aside from his boneheaded baserunning last week, has been unreal.

Hopefully the big boys come through next inning should we escape this one still tied.

I was throwing things when I saw Green come in, but atleast he can't be used anymore today and cause any more damage

Must our pitching staff allow EVERY Cinci leadoff hitter to reach this inning? Wowsers, do I hate Cincy. Is their offense this good, or are we just sucking like nothing have ever sucked before?

This series aside, our starting pitching has been stellar thus far this season. Sure would like to see a few our our weak links in the bullpen sent down however

Hawkins got through it but his curve was lazy and the fastball apparently was barely reaching 90. I'll take the scoreless inning though.

Cincy is really good on offense, but we're even putting their bad hitters on to lead off innings. This is a long game. Between Gallardo trying to share seven or eight pitchers with every batter, and Sam LeCure breaking for tea between each pitch, it's taking us forever to get this over with.

At least Hawkins didn't come back and get instantly inserted into the "8th inning man" role which Loe has clearly earned. Now we will have to see what they will do with Saito.

Methinks Prince hits that out if its not to dead center.

You don't have an Adam Wainwright. Easily the best gentlemen in all of sports. You don't have the amount of real good old American men like the Cardinals do. Holliday, Wainwright, Skip, Berkman those 4 guys are incredible people

Welcome back Corey Hart!!!
Yep, no way in heck Kotsay comes close to that ball.
Tony Plush overruns it and then has to lunge backwards to make the catch.

Cory's call made it sound like Prince put the Brewers ahead.

Well, McGehee with the walk - Corey now has a chance to do some damage. Get hot, Corey Hart.

I know it's only been basically a day but I hope Corey hasn't reverted to his old ways swinging at every low-and-away slider.
This is Jack Burton in the Pork Chop Express, and I'm talkin' to whoever's listenin' out there.

Hart's timing isn't quite there yet. I expect him to struggle for at least a week. If he's still chasing those pitches come June, I'll be very concerned.

Did Fielder just get robbed of a HR? On gameday it looks that way

It was on the warning track but didn't a good catch or anything.

Posted
Well I've never really been a Corey Hart fan, so in a way, I expect it. But he is definitely better than our other options.

Was just going to say...it's not like Chapman is a left-handed specialist, why wait until Fielder? Baker's actually managing a pretty good game.
