Does the sun shine on section 217?

We're meeting some friends for the day game on July 19 and have upgraded our seats to section 217 to sit with them. This is their first trip to Miller Park, and our first day game sitting in a central loge section.

 

Is section 217 likely to get much sun (provided the roof is open)? I'm guessing not a lot, since it's just to the first-base side of home plate, but I said I'd ask around. Of course, I'm asking here first. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Depending on the row and time of day, you can get some sun in 217. When the shadows begin to creep on to the field, they creep away from the stands (IIRC).

Yeah, you can kind of get that heat that beats through the glass panels during the middle innings.

I wouldn't imagine you're going to get much sun at all being on the second level in that location. Possibly for a bit in the beginning of the game, but I wouldn't think for long.

It is a family section, so yes the people who sit there are very friendly. We've sat there 5 or 6 times over the years and I don't recall being in the sun at all.

I've been there for a handful of games (I love the Loge Infield when I can afford it) and I can't remember any sun.

Our old seats were the last section in front of the pressbox, 216 or 17. Really didn't get any daygame sun unless the game went late. Even then, if you were farther back in the section, you didn't get much at all.
