Off Topic: Does anyone remember Clint Malarchuk? Hockey goalie who got his throat slit by a skate. Would've died if it wasn't for trainer reaching his hand in wound and pinching the nerve.

This was one of the most disgusting things I ever saw. Like a faucet being turned on (the blood pouring out of his throat).

Yeah if you aren't going to pinch-hit for Narveson after 6, why take him out after he cruised through the 7th?

Ohh no. I didn't like pulling Narvy when he's cruising. I understand the whole 8th/9th inning thing, just don't agree. Too bad Chris, you pitched a gem.

Hopefully K-Rod can end it here with a tie.

To be fair, Narveson is prone to big innings from time to time. It's not like he has a history of long outings with unearned runs. The decision is not as bad as you guys are making it out to be.

Let's get a run here.

More of this automatic insert _____ in the 8th. Just no feel forthe game. Narvy was strong in the 7th, pitch count was down...i just dont get anymore.

Narveson better be injured/sick/his wife is in labor/something. Why why why. At least let him face the lefty to start off the inning.

But you can usually tell when he starts to blow up. He should've been allowed to stay in until he allowed a baserunner.

I will say that the error by Prince is what ultimately lead to this calamity. But it still really hurts, they need to find a way to win or this will go down as one of the more disgusting ones of the year. I'm really angry.

I didn't hate the decision to pull him. That was a long Top 7th inning with the replay and baserunners and such.

KRod/Axford should be enough to seal the deal. If Prince doesn't try to boot the ball with his knee it's still 2-0.

Like the one that Prince let on?

Those should be unearned runs.

I don't blame Roenicke too much for this. Narveson is prone to that one big inning ala Dave Bush. The problem was Krod being forced to get 4 outs because of Prince's bad D.
