Wouldn't that probably be PERFECTO* (with an asterisk)? At least CC doesn't have to contend with the PNC Park scorer.

Narvy has pitched well after that terrible pitch to Ramirez, keep it going Chris.

edit. Scoring McGehee's hit a triple was obvious home cooking, he's out by a mile if the throw goes to 3rd.

Yup, pretty much one bad pitch for Narveson so far. Unfortunately, it wasn't missed.

I know this is nitpicking, but it bothers me when a team score 2 in the first and the other team score 3 n the bottom of the same inning and the media guy says that this could be a come-from-behind win. To me, unless it's a walkoff, it's not a come from behind win unless you trailed at some point at the end of a complete inning. Yes, there are definitional exceptions when the lead you catch up to/surpass is sufficiently large to be remarkable, but otherwise it just seems kind of silly.

The only question remaining is whether he can send the Mariners to their 17th straight loss.

I know that's not a record losing streak in the big picture, but the Mariners were .500 when the thing started. For a team at .500 that late in the season it has to be a record, doesn't it?

The best part is that the Mariners are about to lose their 17th straight and they're still 10 games better than the Astros.

I really hope someone can screen-grab a picture of Betancourt lying face down in the infield after that dive. Might become an all-time classic on bf.net

If the 'Stros beat Milwaukee on Friday with my 11 year old nephew in the house, it's on your head. Your. Head.
