Sometimes with good offensive players, you get bad defense. Kinda like Berkman and Holliday. And vice versa. If we had good fielders and bad hitter people would complain. People will complain either way. Very few players can do it all. Failure to realize that is the main problem.

Terrible slide... a clean slide down the middle makes it no doubt. But still really bad defense by Prince.

The ump was in perfect position to make that call. It's little things like that that make all the difference on a play like that. Simply being in position is way underrated and not always that easy to accomplish.

I don't think it was all that far really. He released with the runner when he took off so his momentum was already heading that way.
