Nobody on base - Pujols should have been diving out on all flour pitches or rubbing his arm on his way to first. This has been the most poorly managed series anyone could imagine.

The good news is that Carpenter and Yo basically have the same pitch counts through 2.0 IP...45 and 47 respectively. Let's get to their bullpen early and start putting up some crooked numbers.

Can someone educate me as to why they pitched to pujols with nobody on right there? If he does not hit a dinger, he puts himself into scoring position with a double. Can't ya just walk him? Honest. This is not sarcasm.

Because Roenike expects Pujols to revert to his Sunday form where he was 1/4.

Seriously, has there ever been a team with an 'opening pitcher' that only pitches the first? I don't think that would be too terrible of an idea. The first time the heart of the lineup sees the starter would be the 3rd inning. You're most likely going to have to use relief pitchers anyways...
