I had the show on for the last 45 minutes or so and didn't hear anything. I mean I heard Freimund's voice tediously offering up a fact or two and absolutely no insight whatsoever as usual but I didn't hear any sort of important announcement.

I have been listening the last 20 minutes just because of this thread. Just heard an ad mentioning something coming to 1250. Sounds like Rome or some other syndicated show. I hate Rome.

i listen to Rome on madison's affiliate every day on iheartradio. So a tape delay wouldn't help me. I would love for Rome to somehow shop up over the air in Milwaukee, but i realize that the big unit isn't going away anytime soon.

No big deal. I don't know what announcement 1250 would have that would really be that exciting to me, I was just curious so I tuned in this morning.

I have to say I don't miss Rome all that much. I'd rather listen to Dan Patrick. I used to like Rome a lot, but the clones just get annoying over time and there's times he's funny, but his schtick doesn't do much for me anymore. I do miss when he brought on Jay Mohr and the Sklaar brothers though.

No way they're moving Michaels. From what I've heard, they pay him a lot, and the ratings for his show have been good so far.

i believe the other affiliates broadcast him later, but i'm not 100% sure.

Chuck and Wickett will be starting an hour later. 6-10.

I just can't get past the fact that Michaels has a syndicated program. If anything, this speaks to the lack of quality in local radio these days. Program directors will do anything to cut costs. Personally, I'd rather listen to Musak any day then listen to Michaels blather on about things he's not very knowledgeable about, but that's me.

yeah if it wasn't for the postgame show i wouldn't even have the station on my dial. i used to love listening to 1250's nfl drarft coverage but don't know what is worst, listening to the big unit for 5 hrs or mel kiper.

The fact that Michaels is now going 4 hours and the station is pleased with his ratings reflects poorly on the D list. If they can't beat him they might as well start over.

NFL Network has pretty good coverage. I usually check that out, because ESPN coverage tends to piss me off. Especially with how Berman ruins almost every pick early in the draft before it's announced.
