LET GET IT DONE TODAY BOYS!!

Man I hope they sign Greinke. Cy Young pitcher to go along with our MVP player in Braun. Can't beat that. Build around those two!

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

What a rip by Weeks. I was praying that Span wouldn't catch it, not for my rooting interest, but for Rickie's sanity.

Weeks with another stupid baserunning mistake. Have we not learned that the contact play is one of the stupidest things in all of baseball?
This is Jack Burton in the Pork Chop Express, and I'm talkin' to whoever's listenin' out there.

I'm not going to judge Rickie on that, since for all we know, the RR/Sedar told him to go on contact. Dumb move by someone, though.

I don't think Rickie put on the contact play. That comes from the dugout.

Putting on the contact play with the infield playing in is just stupid in my opinion. With the contact play on, a ground ball hit at an infield ends in an out at the plate and a ground ball not hit at an infielder scores a run. With the contact play off, a ground ball hit at infielder ends up in an out at first and a ground not hit at an infielder still scores a run. So in one case you still have a runner in scoring position and in one case you don't. It just doesn't make sense to me to engage in a play which is unlikely to benefit you, but will probably end your chances of scoring in that inning.

Preaching to the choir, my friend.

I love the Keg's roof. It's been years since I've had to sit in the rain while watching baseball.

Edit: Bad wording. I'm not in Minnesota, just watching on TV. I hope it is many more years before I have a rainy baseball experience.

I had already accepted that this inning would be disappointing and then Corey Hart spoils my expectations!

That HR highlighted just how bad Craig Coshun's HR calls are. "Corey Hart To right. Pretty deep. Revere looking up. That ball is......out of here? Home run for Hart!". Hart is practically rounding second by the time Coshun realizes what happened.
