2013-04-09 Brewers (Peralta) at Cubs (Wood), 7:05 PM CDT [Brewers lose, 6-3. Yes, bullpen.]

[moofnelson]

I sure am looking forward to two months of Bettancourt at 1st base, getting important AB's at the end of close games. Yep, sure am looking forward to that.

[moofnelson]

Just saw on the MLB crawl that the Card's Motte may have Tommy John surgery in May. Not good for him.

[PrinceEatMeat]

Already looking like a bad move to leave Axford in.

[Schlitz001]

I see your Marmol and raise you Axford.

Pull him now!

[SterlingArcher]

How did Schierholtz not hit a homer off of Axford? Only a double? that guy must really suck.

[Yeti73]

Ballgame...

[FVBrewerFan]

RR bitten again by making the "right" conventional move.

[chickinbrickin]

Axford hasn't been good enough this year to deserve mop up duty. Remove him from the closer role to be the new 8th inning guy? Our manager is a genius!

Prove me wrong ax

[Eye Black]

The battle of demoted closers not going the Brewers way right now.

[dlk9s]

It's moments like these that I cherish BF.net.

[TURBO]

Axford still in the game, all I can do is laugh at this point...

Our manager, meh, forget it...

[SterlingArcher]

Kranitz is furiously trying to coach his way out of that wet paper bag out there at the mound meeting.

[H4P]

Maybe Axford could bat when his turn comes up and we can get 3 innings out of him...you know...in case it goes into extras... Edited April 10, 2013 by H4P

[trwi7]

This is truly hilarious.

[razzzorsharp]

Axford cannot throw strikes without them being on a razor straight line.

[FVBrewerFan]

Insert circus music here

[trwi7]

Leave him in Ron. We've come this far, might as well go all the way.

[SterlingArcher]

bwaaa haa haa. Axford. that was 5 mil well spent.

[pretendastronaut]

Just so you know, Gameday says; "John Axford is having trouble locating his four-seam fastball, missing the strike zone with his last three."

Oh.

[adambr2]

I'd advise Axford not to frivolously spend a dime of the $5 million he's making this year. It will be the one and only big payday he sees in his career.

[jjkoestler]

I see a DL stint in Ax's future.

[TURBO]

This is truly hilarious.

It's all we have left.

I'm starting to think we would have been better off if RR would have needed an overnight stay for his hospital visit last night.

[chickinbrickin]

Sad that a great start from Peralta is all but forgotten.

[moofnelson]

One wonders if Roenicke gets some kind of perverse pleasure in watching Axford implode every appearance. Maybe Axford ran over Roenicke's dog, or dated and dumped his daughter?

[FVBrewerFan]

Axford cannot throw strikes without them being on a razor straight line.
